Well made, light weight storage solution for many chain saws
This box shipped fast, and arrived in a flat cardboard box. There was a one page(color), easy to follow instruction sheet. There are four long panels, and two end panels. Take your time, look at the instruction page and make sure you see how the pieces fit together. There is only one way each piece will fit, so I don't understand other reviews' concerns about difficulty in assembly. Honestly, if you can't pin together 4 sides s of a plastic box, then you probably shouldn't be operating a chain saw.The assembled box fits my Poulan 16 in saw with plenty of room left over for tools and oil. When closed, the box is sturdy and secure, and has proven very durable slip sliding around my truck bed. All and all, a well made, light weight storage solution for many chain saws at a great value.

Overall nice piece. The reason im giving it 4 stars is because when you get it, you have to put it together, which is fine, but there is no instructions so you have to play Tetris with it which takes twice as long. Also, the case material is a little more on a softer side than you would think. Still works good for storage.

Pretty decent for the price
Throwing this out there for anyone using a STIHL MS261, the saw fit perfectly in the case. The end of the handle just touches the side. Some reviews state the case is hard to put together but I didn't find that to be the case.1. Make sure the holes for the pins are clear of any injection molding slag prior to assembling, I used a small flat punch with a plastic hammer to get the pins in with no problem.2. To snap the sides together don't try to push them, use the palm of your hand and give it a good smack. they snapped right into place for me.Total assembly time was about 5 minutes.A few improvements it could use.1. A Velcro strap to hold the saw down in place, mine fit snugly but Velcro could definitely help.2. Change the description of the item because I, like others thought this was for a 20" bar but the scabbard says 18"-20". My saw is 20" and just fit.3. I searched and there isn't a replacement scabbard available but the Husqvarna case that is similar looks like the scabbard will fit. I am going to get one and see. If it does I will update my review.Update 6/18/2018:The Husqvarna scabbard is different and will not fit, it is larger than this one. (see pic) .I purchased these push fasteners and Velcro from local big box store and made my own Velcro strap-down.

A GREAT box for DeWalt DCCS670X1 60V 16in
a pretty sturdy plastic box, easy to assemble, easy to MODIFY, holds everything; 16oz oil, two blades extra battery,AND the charger, eye prot. gloves, hear prot. old news paper on the floor.. after assembly, mark center-line for the bar, remove the bar cover, place saw in the box with bar ON center line. mark where the rear handle hits the back of the box,(bottom also). remove the inner panel(DONT GO THRU, JUST THE INNER PANEL), check fit, remove enough to allow front of saw to fit inside of the box.. attach chain cover, slide box cover over saw cover, DONE.. yer welcome... thunder t (updated)

The cubic shape made it easy to understand exactly what size cavity I was getting
First: This case fits the 80V Kobalt 18" electric chainsaw! That's for the benefit of anyone desperately seeking such a case and trying to decipher the often confusing interior dimensions given on the various cases.I recently purchased a Kobalt 18" cordless 80V electric chainsaw, only to learn Kobalt doesn't offer a case for it. Complicating matters was that the Kobalt has a somewhat longer housing to accommodate the large battery. So, I had to find an after marked case, and it had to come from another vendor. The interior dimensions listed on available cases was confusing, especially since all the cases I saw were contoured to fit the chainsaw they were designed for. In other words, a Poulan or Stihl case, made for an 18-20" chainsaw, wouldn't fit the Kobalt (I tried it on a Poulan case -- it was 1" too short). I was pulling my hair out until I came across the PowerKing case. The cubic shape made it easy to understand exactly what size cavity I was getting, and the price ($39.98) was much less than the others I saw. So, I took the plunge and bought one. I'm very glad I did. Some of the reviewers have mentioned difficulty assembling the case because you have to insert plastic posts through the hinge slots. Some of them may be a bit tight, but I smeared a bit of vaseline on the posts they went in just fine. A light tap with a hammer will assist if one proves stubborn -- just be sure you "tap" it, rather than slam it (no sense in risking a broken hinge joint).Pros: The case comes complete with a 18" scabbard for the saw blade, which was very fortunate. My Kobalt scabbard didn't fit the blade slot properly, but the PowerKing scabbard fit just fine. The case also has plenty of storage space for tools. There was also enough storage space for the 80V battery, which I doubt would've been possible with any of the other cases I researched.Cons: None, yet.An all-around good bargain, perfect for my needs, and made in the USA to boot.

OK for occasional use, but not a substantial carrying case
Took forever to get here, but I don't think that's the sellers fault. It seems the delivery company was having problems of some kind. This carrying case will last me a couple of years (maybe), but it won't withstand any kind of treatment that a professional tree-cutter might subject it to; like bouncing around in the back of a pickup, or being accidentally dropped. The instructions are somewhat helpful, but also a bit blurry; black and white photos. Anyway, if you want a carrying case that is going to last for years, I recommend purchasing other than this case. A quality case will cost more, but it will be money well spent.

Stihl fits nice with room for accessories
Great price and does the job. Fits my Stihl nicely with extra room for gloves, tools, etc. Square design makes it easier to store because you can stack whereas the rounded cases wouldn't allow you to do that. Should fit most chainsaws unless you have a really big one.
