Sarah's Sea Salt, Provencal

We have used Sarah’s Mediterranean Sea salt for years and I bought this on a whim. It did not disappoint. It’s especially good on roasted green beans.

So now that we know that there is really a difference in salts, one gets picky. I was given a container of Sarah's Sea Salt as a gift, and it was such a wonderful surprise to open it and find something new I wanted to use on my food every day. The size of these salt grains is just perfect (this does make a big difference) and the herbs add a nice touch. It's the salt though. For use after food is cooked, not to add in during cooking - the taste is lost then. I was happy to find this on Amazon since I don't know where the original container was purchased.

Purchased this as part of my obsession with lavender and any pice combo that has it included. This is so delicately mixed, with such a gentle hand (as opposed to some spice mixes that overwhelm) that it did, frankly, surprise me. You will find endless uses for this combo of spices and you will find, as they say, it takes your food up a notch. If you would only want to buy one salt mix, this one would be an excellent choice. Adds a lot but not too much, not too overpowering.

We use a lot of Sarah's Sea Salt products, all of which we like, but this one is particularly rich and tasty.

Normally I never add salt to food I've cooked, preferring to let the seasonings I used in meal preparation be enough, but sometimes I don't add anything, as when cooking eggs or steaming vegetables. Sprinkling on a bit of this delicately flavored salt blend just before serving guarantees delicious food. I keep the jar close by rather than in my spice cabinet so I never need to search for it in the middle of cooking. Added bonus: this 4 oz. jar will last a long time, so you're getting good value for your money.

My favorite seasoned salt. Excellent with grilled vegetables, grilled salmon and broiled lamb chops.

Italian cooking

This spice relies oddly on lavender, not a flavor that works in many dishes. I was hoping for something more like herbes de Provence, but this just isn't it. I wish I could return it.
