Amitex UK LED Shower Head Drencher

This is one of those buys that once you've received it and used it, you can sit back with a big ole grin knowing that you got more than your money's worth! I can't believe how simple this thing was to install... and I'm not a plumber by any stretch of the imagination.It is easy to install and works really really well... I find that it is accurate with the temperature detection and colour changes. I actually also like that it gives me a little heads up too, meaning for example that it goes red a little before the water gushes at you to melt your face off.I like to run things for a while before giving a review and have been running this thing almost 5 months now. It's really great... and I'm sure you'll find out multiple reasons why. ;)In terms of drawbacks... well nothing major to write here about... but it does have a slight delay (1-3 seconds depending on your pressure) between initial turn on and full blast coming out the head. The reason seems to be that the head actually fills with water before it is fully pressurized to go full blast.It has a nice wide spread, looks cool and doesn't need any batteries. If you have hard water it may eventually start to clog the head of course, so if that happens you may need to take a look at your water supply.

When I first installed this shower head, it was leaking from the ball joint. The installation instructions were vague so I thought I did something wrong. I Emailed the manufacturer for some help but they still have not gotten back to me after a month. But I figured out how to disassemble it and found an O-ring that wasn't aligned correctly. Once I fixed that, everything has been working as advertised. Screws into any standard base. Blue, purple, and red LED colors change depending on temperature. Use the lights as an indicator when to jump in the shower instead of burning your hand!

I purchased this item from Amazon.com. I was very exited to have this shower haed, and it was perfect for the first 2 months. I got it in February 2011, 2 months later, about 1/3 of the lights were gone (not working). By the end of the next month all of the lights were NOT working. I'm not sure if these lights can be replaced. I liked this item just because of the lights, but it seems that the lights work only for 3-4 months and after that you will have a regular shower haed.

Have now 8/30 had this shower head for approx 1 months and half of the lights are no longer working. Very disappointed, looked great when I first got it. Now not so good.Now 9/22 and all lights are gone, what a sorry piece of ____(you get the idea).

At the beginning I was skeptical about it but when I fit it myself and used it, it turn to be very nice.No electricity is required so it is very safe. I can tell the water temp. by looking at the colors. It comes with teflon tape but I had to use additional tape to ensure better fit. Since the water pressure in my apartment is not very strong, I used it without the pressure regulator that comes with it.

The lights went out after the second use.
