Great gift
I’ve gifted this book several times. It was a favorite of my kids, so I pass it on every time I get the chance. Great for a new teacher, a baby shower, etc.

It is a fun and enjoyable way to teach acceptance to your family and friends.
I loved the message that this book shared with it’s readers. The author let it be known in a very simplistic way that it was okay to be different and that it was okay not to try to be like someone else. I also enjoyed the way the illustrious displayed different shades of diversity within the sheep through out the story line. It is a fun and enjoyable way to teach and show acceptance to your family and friends.

The buddha sheep
My toddler son and i read this ebook. It was cute, quirky, and a bit confusing. I liked how the sheep family have good and bad moments like a human family. The parents worry about their son. The grandpa tells them to relax buddha style. The parents tell their son to follow the traditional rules, or manners, of sheep society. The son keeps on being different in good and harmless ways...and encourages others to do the same. The parents become buddhas in the end.

Defiant, not “different”
I purchased this book because I read a review which states that the book teaches children it’s okay to be different. If Woolbur only had 3 legs or had a horn like a unicorn or something to that extent, then he would be “different.” However, Woolbur is defiant, not different. He’s a regular sheep who refuses to do what he’s supposed to do. He constantly defies or dismisses what he’s told to do, and page by page it shows his parents getting more & more stressed out by his disobedience. By the end of the book, his parents are having a nervous breakdown because (instead of Woolbur learning to listen to authorities), Woolbur gets all the other young sheep to refuse to cut their hair, to dye their hair blue, etc... like a bad apple spoiling the whole bunch. I was hoping for a good lesson for my child, instead I got a book which dismisses the parents concerns and teaches defiance. I will most definitely be returning this book. The only reason that I gave the book more than 1 star is because the illustrations are cute.

Woolbur One Of A Kind
This charming book with it's great illustrations is for kids and adults that walk a different paths. Woolbur is a one of a kind but all of us can and should be one of a kinds. Not willing to do what the hurd does he tries out new things to the dismay of his parents. The ending shows that he made it at the head of the hurd dispite this mom and dad's concerns. He inspires others to try out new things. The illustrations truely enhance the story. Woolbur doesn't look like the cute fluffy sheep of bed time stories. His trial efforts too look different or fun and funny. Anyone would find this book a joy.

Lovely book
Woolber marries accurate fiber arts illustration with an empathetic view of 'unique' behavior.

We Keep Buying More Copies!
Woolbur is a deliciously illustrated book that's a fun read-aloud for all ages. We first came across it at the local library, and brought it home. After we read through it just once, we hit Amazon to find our own copy. And then the next day, we hit Amazon again, to send a copy to my mom, who spins... wool! And most recently, we sent another copy to my mother-in-law, who agrees it's a delightful story with great characters, engaging writing, and pictures that just make you smile. If you're in a household that loves fiber arts, silly lambs, or just a sweet story to share with someone you love, Woolbur is a great choice.

Woolbur
A very entertaining book where one little sheep dares to be different. His parents and grand parents worry about his ability to fit in with the other sheep. Everyone learns that it is fun to be yourself.
