Very disappointed
We are getting a Labradoodle puppy soon and were anxious to read up on specific Labradoodle puppy 'stuff' so we purchased this book based on the reviews. Well, I'm very sorry to say that I was very disappointed...not only did I not feel that the book related to Labradoodles, but grammatically speaking, the book was terrible. The book was just flat out poorly written. I do not believe that the manuscript was edited before being published. The chapters did not flow, heck even the paragraphs within the chapters did not flow. Much of the text repeated itself throughout the book; it was very hard to read. I honestly felt that my money was wasted on this book. I usually do not ever write reviews, but was so unhappy with this book that I wanted others to know before they wasted their money as well.

Avoid this poorly written disaster.
I have to agree with the last reviewer and recommend that people do not buy this book. We were very excited to get this book to get ready to welcome home our labradoodle puppy. The book is written at a child's level and as if it was written by a child. Although there are a few good suggestions, the book is the most poorly written book I have ever laid eyes on. The spelling and grammar are atrocious and make it very difficult to follow along. Two entire chapters repeat themselves throughout the book (maybe more, I gave up reading). It reads like a hodge-podge of various general suggestions made by different people. Within a chapter, general suggestions are repeated many times over. I completely wasted my money on this purchase and hope others don't. I am hopeful that the other two books we purchased on raising a puppy will be better.

Not much new here
I didn't find much new information on dog training, but what I did find was so many grammatical errors it drove me nuts.I got out my highlighter and forgot to read

Home made book, surprisingly for sale on Amazon
There are some rudimentary bits of wisdom here, so it wasn't a complete waste of money. However this is clearly a home-published book from someone for whom English is not a first language.

Comprehensive Labradoodle Training
A fun book with specifics about Labradoodle training. I certainly appreciate the author's take on training, and I love how much information is in here. Labradoodles are very friendly dogs, very social, which means that they need training to keep them from overwhelming others with their affection. They are easy to train, however, and the tips in this book are very helpful. I never in a million years would have thought about having different 'levels' of treat rewards for different levels of task importance, but the author makes a good point for it, and it's something I will incorporate from now on. There is stuff on crate training, invisible fencing, cleaning and grooming, stopping excessive barking, and a lot more. It even has recipes for homemade and healthy dog food.I would definitely recommend this book to my friends who have or are concerning getting a Labradoodle puppy. It's a comprehensive guide, and it's full of good, factual information. It IS fun to train Labradoodles, and this is a great guide for doing so.

detailed and specific information pertaining to labradoodles
Labradoodles are a new popular breed because they can be hypoallergenic, so it makes sense to write a book just for this breed. I liked this guide, it was a nice little book that was easy to read and well organized, and I even learned some things! I never thought much about rawhide treats as entertainment for your dog but I guess it is true, that something they can chew for hours will keep them from being bored and chewing on something else. There's some good stuff in here about crate psychology that I found interesting, too. I guess the point is that this book is very thorough, and I appreciate that.

Disappionted!!!
The quality of the writing in this book is poor with a number of spelling mistakes.I was extremely disappointed. i was hoping for a more informed view of the training and felt that the book hardly expanded my knowledge at all ... which is saying a lot as my personal experience with dogs is limited, as I 've never owned a dog. I will now buy another book!
