Too noisy. I had to return it.
It was warm despite its thinness, it wasn't heavy (which is good), and I like the size I bought (Queen X) because it covers the entire bed and spring box. HOWEVER, it was such a noisy comforter that I had to return it. When you move under the comforter, it makes a plastic-like noise. I tried to figure out where the noise was coming from and I think it is the cotton (not the wool inside) what makes the noise. It is possible that they have treated this cotton with some type of chemical that makes it slippery and creates this crackling noises that wake you up in the middle of the night if you move or someone else moves. That's my guess, cause I can't find any other explanation. The cotton does not feel like other similar comforters I have.

It is not 100% wool inside. Very noise when we move it!
We bought this last October to use it this winter, because it says 100% wool inside and 100% cotton covered. But it is not what it says, something is not right because it makes a noise like it has something that is not wool and cotton (like a plastic bag). The noise wakes us up if we move the comforter during the night. We have other 100% wool blankets and 100% cotton blankets that do not make any noise while we move it. I will not buy it again!

We are sleeping better
I shopped around for a natural fabric comforter for many months before purchasing this one. I had trouble deciding between this and a silk filled one. I mean, obviously both kinds are processed to a degree and neither is 100% natural straight from the animal (thank goodness!) I opted for this comforter over a wasable wool because I read that to make the wool machine washable, it is sprayed with chemicals and I'm trying to cut down on my toxic exposure to chemicals, not increase it by sleeping 8 hours a night inhaling chemical fumes from a comforter. Some of the silks are treated too, so be careful what you order if this is a concern to you. I wanted something we didn't have to switch out in the seasons. This comforter is prob a little too warm for hot summer nights. However, I do think it will be great for the rest of the time so I'm satisfied with it. It's a nice weight, being neither too heavy or too light. I am very sensitive to odors and this blanket has no offensive smell to me. I'm not saying it doesn't smell like anything....but it doesn't have a strong or bad smell like some do. I did let it air out for several days before placing it in the cover and putting it on the bed. We have a latex mattress with a latex topper so our bed is super high. We bought this in the oversized queen thinking it would be large enough to hang down. Well...it barely fits. However, as difficult as it was to find a duvet cover for the oversized, I'm glad we didn't get the queen xl because I can't imagine how limited the covers are in that size! If you have a super thick mattress it might be better to go up an entire size. I think the king size would have fit our queen better, but live and learn. All in all, we are pretty happy with this comforter and we are both sleeping better than we did before. It lays out smoothly with no lumps and looks very nice in our cover.
