Natural bristle LONG handled Detachable Head BACK brush

I've never done dry-brushing before, and had read about all the benefits one could gain, so I figured I'd give it a try. I ordered this brush, and I like it! I've never tried any other kind, though, so I can't compare this brush to any other. I use this brush almost every day to dry brush, and my skin is so much softer and healthier than it's been in a long time.PROS:The detachable head is really handy, and well designed. It's easy to remove and put back on.The strap on the head is also handy. It's not necessary, but I like having it as I don't have to worry about losing my grip on the brush and dropping it when I'm half coherent early in the morning.The bristles are not as stiff as I had feared they might be. They're stiff enough to get my skin nice and tingly feeling, but not so stiff that they stung or hurt.CONS:The brush has a bit of a smell - very mild, but it's something I notice. It smells somewhat like resin, I think. It's not very strong, and it's not a horrible smell, but it's there. It's not enough for me to bump this down to four stars, though, 'cause I really like this brush!

The brush looks like and is similarly constructed in the same manner as they have been for years - probably all by the same manufacturer. I actually use mine for scrubbing only my back, so the first thing I do is take carpenters glue and make sure the handle is firmly attached. Once that is done, the only question of quality is the firmness of the bristles. Since these are natural bristles, the water affects the firmness, and that is to be expected. However, after using these brushes for several years, I am coming to the belief that the manufacturer is packing fewer bristles per brush, and the effect is rather disappointing. They are less firm, and respond more like a painters brush, than a dense natural brush.The service by the vendor was expedient and meets the high-quality that we have come to expect from vendors associated with Amazon.

Wonderful brush. I got this for lymphatic drainage maintenance. It has a very nice feel used as a dry body brush. Many people have complained that the handle comes off accidentally too much. I had this problem too. It was minor. I put up with it. Then I discovered I was putting the handle on backwards. Make sure that the flat side is down, or if you are having the problem, flip the handle over the next time you install it. Once I figured this out, the handle now stays on securely. No more flying brush heads. I like that it does come apart for travel. It's very handy to have the handle. It really does stay on securely if it's installed properly.

This isn't a bad product. The brush separates from the handle so it's easy to travel with or to use as a hand brush. My only reservation is that I was looking for a stiffer bristle that would really scrub me, and this one is softer than I was hoping for. If you don't want really stiff bristles, this will do fine.

Nicely made with some small improvements needed. I use mine for dry brushing, initially the bristles were harsh and discovered I received the same results with them slightly wet for about three days. You will be shocked by the heavy fall out, this stops within the first week and you'll never notice the missing ones.My handle works fine, it stays firmly attached.

I ordered this because I liked the fact that it was detachable. When I received it and tried it out, I found that it wasn't just detachable--the brush would not stay on the handle. It just slides together and there is no real way to secure it, so whenever you try to brush with the long handle "attached," the brush just falls off. And sometimes onto your toes.I ended up just supergluing it and calling it a day, but only because I didn't want to deal with returning it. It still works okay, but it's not really what I wanted.The brush itself is fine.

I've ordered two of these through Amazon, the first a number of months ago was great and looked like the picture and matched the positive reviews, i.e., well-made with stiff bristles. The last I just received is an entirely different brush, with a handle and head that don't come close to fitting together, seemingly extremely cheaply made of glued together bits of scrap wood, and with very soft bristles.Given the variation in others' reviews and this experience, I'd say what is sent may be great or may be utterly useless.

Initial receipt of this product was only the brush without the handle, A one-inch remnant of the broken handle was still attached to the brush but no evidence that the rest of the handle was ever packaged in the shipping envelope. When the seller was contacted, he responded by sending another brush carefully wrapped in a well-cushioned box.
