Face maasks must be worn correctly, changed frequently, removed properly, disposed of safely and used in combination with good universal hygiene behaviour in order for them to be effective. Ⅰ.How to wear a maask properly? 1.Perform hand hygiene before putting on a maask. 2.The maask should fit snugly over the face: ❶The coloured side of the maask face outwards with the metallic strip uppermost. ❷Position the elastic bands around both ears. ❸Mould the metallic strip over nose bridge. ❹Extend the maask to fully cover mouth, nose and chin. 3.Avoid touching the maask after wearing. Otherwise, should perform hand hygiene before and after touching the maask. Ⅱ.How to take off a maask properly? ❉ Replace the maask immediately if it is damaged or soiled; and change it at least daily. ❉ Before taking off the maask, perform hand hygiene. ❉ While taking off the maask, avoid touching the outside of maask. ❉ Do not reuse a maask. Dispose of the used maask in a lidded rubbish bin.
