How many inches is the back open End

The big end that you clamp is 4in. The small end is probably 2in. Across opening, maybe 3 in. to outside edge

will this fit my ram 3500 yr 2012 6.7 l

The filter has universal adapter rings. But check the actual size of your carb intake

2005 Mustang v6..I have the big box square filter, so the universal jyst clamps on to exising hose?

I just removed the box in my car and the stock hoses and clamped the pipe straight to my intake manifold and my PVC line fit right into the port on the pipe super easy but you, can just remove your box and install on your intake tube
