Herold Solingen Stagenpaste Solid Double Paste for Razor Strops Red Paste

A little tiny box about an inch long with two 1/4" x 1" for $11.00!??Was not even enough to dress a strop. These people sold me a sample. Been ripped off!

Really really small bars. Took me by surprise. Remember that a little go a long way. Will suggest to rub off excess with a paper towel and let it sit for a week.

Been using this for over forty years with excellent razor sharp results consistently on our strops.

Looks small but it is enough to last a long time on a strop.

Red paste as described. Works wonders in refreshing the edge of a kitchen knife without the need to bring it back on a Sharpening stone.

I use the red paste on the linen portion and the black paste on the smooth leather of one of my older strips. To bring back the sharpness of a straight razor I’ll do 10 laps on the red then 10 laps on the black, making sure to wipe the blade after each paste so as not to contaminate one pasted strop with the other. Then I’ll do 40 laps on smooth clean leather. Ready to shave!I find that once I’ve done this routine, I only need to touch up the blade on the black pasted strop for quite a while. The only time I go back to the red pasted strop before going to the black is when my blade no longer feels as sharp as it once didTypically though after shaving and I dry the blade on smooth leather, then I’ll do 4 or 5 laps on the black pasted strop after every shave, just to keep the edge sharp and ready for the next shaveI use only a little bit of this paste when I apply it as a little goes a long ways. Also, no need to press the blade into the strop when going over the pasted strops, use a light touch

Size is listed as 1x6x9 inches actual size is 1 1/2 x 1/2 x1/2 inches per bar, was shocked at the small size, have not used it yet will update after use.
