Providence Stampede Overdrive SOV-2

I was in search of a pedal for the subtle compressed & sustained overdrive tones with Dumble - like tonal qualities. This pedal does not even come close. It does far too little & not particularly well. Good alternatives would be a Hermida Audio Zen Drive or even the Xotic Effects BB Pre-amp.

This pedal takes over from every other pedal I have tried.It is worth every dollar of the price.If you want the real deal, this is it.

This is a great pedal.It's what most people would regard as "medium gain". It's not a metal-type distortion pedal by any means.Compared to other well known "boutique" pedals:the sov-2 has more gain than a Timmy and is more transparent than a Barber Gain Changer; it splits the difference between the two.It's much more open and less compressed than the well known tube screamer pedals.The Providence is most excellent in providing crunch with a Strat style guitar and a clean-set Fenderish amp. It might not be so at home between a Les Paul and a Marshall.It's solidly built and very low in self-noise. The tone control is very useful.No pedal is for everyone but this is a worthy contender and the end of a long series of near-misses for me.

Gotta "Dumble-esque" medium gain pedals.For 3 years I have had a Zendrive on my board.It was good for what it did, but I wanted more gain.I have heard about this pedal for years, so I bought one.Put it on my board & played the intro to "Josie" by Steely Dan.IT WAS PERFECT! Medium gain but MORE GAIN than a Zendrive.This is not a Hard Rock-Metal pedal. This pedal is about dynamics.Think Robin Ford, Steely Dan....Jazz Rock styled Music.I love this pedal. The newer version is called "Free The Tone.It's much more pricey than this older version.This pedal was a pleasant surprise, a pleasant surprise indeed !

ボリュームを絞ったときはクリヤーでボリュームを上げると心地よい歪感が得られる。もう少し低温がガリっと歪んで締まった感じがあるとよいです。
