HEADSPACE were introduced to the Progressive Rockscene with their first EP entitled I Am... back in 2007.This set the benchmark for what to expect from the highlyanticipated British Progressive Rock band. The brand new album I Am Anonymous is a powerful, heavy progressive concept album that carves its ownplace within the progressive genre. In places, transitioningbetween Pete Rinaldi's crushing metal riff's toZeppelin-esque vocals from Damian Wilson and monstrousmoog soloing affiliated with the Wakeman surname.HEADSPACE continue to push the boundaries ofprogressive music with their latest offering a journeythrough the acceptance of being human, morality andexistence.

Possibly the greatest album I have ever heard
How can I possibly write a good review of something I don't know how to describe? Well, I'll do my best. Take a chunk of Ayreon, a chunk of Dream Theater and a dash of a dozen or so other styles. Put it in a blender, and what you get out is this album. The result is periodically reminiscent of each of the ingredients, but wholly unlike any of them. Really, that's the best that I can do.I discovered Headspace on my most recent adventure down Amazon's "Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought" rabbit hole. It caught my attention because of the distinctive sound that differentiates it from much of the recent crop of prog metal, which seems to have fallen into a bit of a rut recently. It was worth buying just for that.On my first listen of this album, it was a solid four stars. But I find that with most progressive music, my brain needs some time to rewire itself to really appreciate what it's hearing. After about five times through, this album clicked. It is undoubtedly the best music I have discovered in the last year. I don't fully judge an album until I've had it for months or even years, but this has the potential to make it to my all time top ten.UPDATE: After a few more weeks with this album, I have decided that this very well may be the greatest album I have ever heard. I realize the significance of this statement, and I don't say it lightly. I hesitate to make such a statement after only a few months with this album, but I think it is true.

Amazing Prog Metal album
I am very happy with this title. It is great to hear something a bit different with Prog Metal. A lot of the bands playing now are just trying to either be Opeth or Dream Theater. While both great bands, I always thought prog was to start somewhere well defined, then push the boundaries (like Opeth starting with Death Metal, and expanding the sound to something more brilliant).I Am Anonymous is a title that would fit well somewhere between later Opeth and Rush. The keyboards are impressive, with some of the best piano work in modern metal music. The keyboardist Adam Wakeman also does work for Black Sabbath, but this is no where near their sound.Something I found most interesting was the lyrical themes, as they are not par for the course. The lyrics are poetry containing emotions related to war and how it effects solders, as well as politics. If you have heard anything from them and liked it, buy this album. You will not regret it.

Solid, tight, smooth, prog
I decided to pick this up on a whim after I noticed that I had "loved" a few tracks from it on my Last.FM account. Also, having recently picked up the latest Threshold album, I was kind of on a Damian Wilson kick. I was completely startled at how incredible this entire album is! It is a fantastic blend of smooth, silky sections, crunchy aggressive parts, cerebral lyrics, excellent musicianship and arrangement... all the things one digs in a progressive band.If you are looking for something new to flesh out your catalog, this is a great start. For reference, my prog list includes Dream Theater, Threshold, Vanden Plas, Circus Maximus, Seventh Wonder, Redemption, Darkwater, Sieges Even, etc.

The album Dream theater fans have been waiting for since Scenes from a memory
This is for me the album of 2012. Damian Wilson is unbelievable the songs have some cool changes...Die with a Bullet is just amazing. It is one of three songs that changes into a completely new song at the five minute mark and will just blow you away. I was lucky enough to see them at summers end last year and again Die with a bullet just blew everyone's hair back and sucked all the oxygen out of the room...Just really amazing.
