Caroline Mini Doll (American Girls Collection Mini Dolls) Paperback – Abridged, August 30, 2013

It is hard to say why exactly but I have to say that when they released the big Caroline doll along with tone of fabulous outfits, her winter blue coat and dreamy hat, and that pink dress .. OMG!They cleverly also issued fabulous fancy furniture collection among which the Parlor was my favoritebut the boat was also absolutely dreamy!I remember when my child saw her at the store for the first time, she looked like deer in the headlightsand that day was the hardest to leave the store.. yes, it went instantly on the Christmas list along with the few furniture pieces and don't let me started on the enthusiasm and joy that they caused on the Christmas morning.The little doll was perfect to carry around, it became such a good friend to take everywhere for comfort and fun that we ended up getting a second one because of the millage it had.It is just gorgeous and it looks JUST LIKE THE BIG DOLL.. comes of course with the mini book thatis a must for the child as it truly excite them to read more.American Girl dolls inspire girls to read more, to learn more about culture, history and science. Theyteach about different ethnicities, customs and they teach respect to all of them.I love those dolls and it is wonderful option to have to buy a small doll for all kinds of reasonbe it a budget or space.LOVE IT!!!! She looks GORGEOUS in person!

These dolls are cute, I give them that. It comes with the price of USA made, but the quality of China made. I was very disappointed to see these where made in CHINA. These dolls are twice the price of Barbie dolls. Not really made any better and that book you get is sooo small. Its about the size of a wet nap. No kidding. That being said this was a great alternative to splurging a $100+ on the big doll and my daughter seemed just as happy. We purchased 3 dolls for under $50 in the hopes this would lessen the impact of not getting the 18" version and it worked perfectly.

So happy we could find an affordable American Girl doll for our daughter. I was a little apprehensive about paying $24 + $6 for a mini doll on the AG website so I was pleased to find this one for just $16 with free Prime shipping. The quality of the doll is excellent. Our daughter really wants a larger version and after seeing what good quality the small doll is I feel much better about the possibility of buying her $105 big doll someday.

My 9 yr old daughter had decided that she wanted the full-sized Caroline for Christmas. We discussed the cost of the doll versus what we normally spend on her. I told it that it was her decision to make. She decided against the doll. However, I saw the mini-Caroline on Amazon and bought her as a gift. She was so excited and happy to see her. Now she wants to collect all the mini American Girl dolls.

My little girl loves loves this doll. Loves it! My 2 older girls have regular size American Girl dolls but my youngest never really was interested in having one until we found out about these mini dolls. She loves to carry her around. She is so cute. Her clothes and shoes are adorable. I wish the hair was as good as the big dolls but my daughter has not complained and has kept her looking nice regardless.

Even though these dolls are quite small, they're very special to the little gal that collects them. The tiny book that is enclosed was much more interesting than I had thought it would be. It's a real book with a real story about the doll. This doll put a smile on my grand daughter's face. She carried it around all day. This is an excellent gift item for any girl that loves American Girl dolls.

I am an adult collector, though I also buy for my daughter and granddaughter who is 9. I was delighted with this mini doll, especially her curly long hair which seems softer than the other mini dolls. Caroline's story is one that needed to be told, re: the War of 1812, of interest to both Canadians and Americans. This plus the set of Caroline's six volume story would be an outstanding gift for any girl aged 8 to 14.

Itty bitty Caroline is a little beauty!We originally ordered our mini-Caroline from an Amazon seller. Our order was mixed up and another doll sent instead with no Caroline in stock.The seller was very kind/helpful for which we are grateful. We ended up locating our mini-Caroline from another source.Very similar to the larger doll in appearance Caroline does still captivates no matter her size :)
