Vertical Cornish Game Hen Roaster -Pair

These ceramic stands allow you to roast cornish hens in the famous upright "beer can chicken" style. But very important: make sure you use only DEAD cornish hens. It turns out that live hens refuse to sit on the ceramic stands.

Bought this as a gift. The recipient said it was OK but not as good as the roaster with the infuser which turns out very juicy chicken, from the juice, broth or beer which is infused through the infuser.This one does not have an opening at the top to infuse the hen with juice and flavor.

This roaster was chosen by my husband as he is the cook in the family. It performed exactly as expected. The hen came out crispy all over and it was a snap to clean up. Looking forward to many more uses.

These vertical roasters cooked the hens to perfection and the best part was the easy clean up. So much better than the metal wire kind. I'm buying two more!

Pretty much worked as advertised. Cleaned well and went in dishwasher just fine. Was surprised at the amount of liquid generated during cook cycle and the fact that it created a suction that was hard to break from the pan (luckily I did not use a smooth-bottomed roaster) but the birds were delicious.

These worked great. I like the way the cornish hens came out all crispy and brown on all sides. I would definitely recommend them.

I think these roasters help roast the birds inside. They also keep the birds from lying in the cooking fat. I didn't find that they decrease the cooking time, though.

I love these hen roasters... even the breast meat is juicy!
