Nice Mess Kit!
I bought this mess kit to replace an aging stainless steel set I had and I am very happy with my purchase. My old kit contained many of the same items but food always seemed to burn and stick to the bottom of the pan, making it very hard to clean. After looking around on Amazon I found this Bugaboo kit and decided to give it a try.The kit includes two 8" pans (one deep, one shallow), a plastic bowl, 12oz cup, handle and a mesh bag to store it all in. Everything fits well into the nested pans but there is not much room for extra gear. The pans don't snap together and may come apart in your pack but if you are like me and pack your bag like you're playing Tetris you shouldn't have a problem. I also found that closing the drawstring on the mesh bag tightly helps keep the pans together as well.I used the kit on a 5 day backpacking trip and everything worked as expected. The non-stick coating makes cooking a snap and cleanup is just as easy. I did notice that these pans are thicker than most stainless steel/titanium pans so heating time is a little longer but I will take that over the food stuck to the bottom of my pan when I am done. Everyone I was hiking with kept borrowing my kit so they wouldn't have to scrape and clean their own pots!Overall this is a great mess kit and I am glad I replaced my old stainless steel pans. For backpacking and light camping I would highly recommend this product! Thanks for reading!

Great product!
I bought this for my son, who is in boyscouts, recommended by his scout leader. I was nervous to look this up because I figured if it was recommended by scouts it was going to be pricey, however the cost was very reasonable! My son used it to make a can of soup and a hot ham and cheese sandwich. He had no problems with anything sticking (and I didnt send non-stick spray with him). It also can packaged in a way that would prevent damage and it stores very compact. I would highly recommend this product!!

Great kit
I've been toying around with buying some of the other GSI mess kits for awhile, but just couldn't justify the price point as I backpack so little, and car camp more often. Coupled with the Ultralight Backpacking Canister Camp Stove with Piezo Ignition 3.9oz! stove (which fits in the set), this makes a great, lightweight mess kit. The Teflon coating is almost a must -- a step far above the aluminum kits that allow food to stick. Cleanup was a breeze after cooking -- ok 'burning' -- a can of corned beef hash. Cup and bowl are durable and feel like "quality" items.Kocking off a star only because I wish the two pots would fasten together when storing. It can be a bit cumbersome to fit the kit into the stuff sack/mesh without them slipping apart as you slide them in. Moot afterwords as the net compresses well.

Love It!
As stated this thing is the perfect backpacking mess kit. Each pan if teflon coated which makes cleanup a breeze and using one as a lid for the other (or as a plate) is no problem at all. The handle doesn't wiggle nearly as much as those cheaper aluminum types you can get (and really doesn't wiggle at all really). The cup/bowl and sturdy plastic (wouldn't want to try and crush test them mind you) and fit easily inside the pan/lid (with the handle) for stowing into the mesh carry-case. Plus the case has a nice draw-string and room to stash a few extras like utensils or maybe some spices.Very recommended buy.

Perfect little set
We used this set constantly while camping in Mt. Lassen. The removable handle seriously came in handy - could even use it on some cans so you don't get burned when you forget any heat resistant protection. They were light, compact, easy to clean - which was important when you had no water other than what you brought, we wished we'd brought more to cook in them. The pot/lid feature was cool - but you have to make sure its properly balanced on the other pan, it did pop off easily. All in all, for amateur campers, this worked out very well for us.

very compact snug cooking set lightweight also
nice and compact cooking set,the "pot" is kinda small for boiling a sizeable amount of water, but all the pieces fit together very compact and convenient, can even fit the handle inside,i just wrapped it in some foam to avoid any damage, comes with a mesh bag to hold it all together nice and snug, seems fairly lightweight also

Works fine and is relatively light
This kit is for supplementing the GSI Outdoors Bugaboo Mess Kit I have already owned for years. I'm not a Lone Wolf anymore so I'll have other yippy mouths to feed when camping. I don't have a ton of "miles" on this kit but it should be useful and long-lasting with normal care. I bought extra GSI 12 oz. Blue Cascadian Cups and GSI 6.5 Foot "Inch" Cascadian Bowls for the non-cookers in my group. I do wish the cups could have been build a little bit shorter... so I could get two cups and two bowls into the closed mess kit. There are other kits that do that. Also... not a real big fan of the way the handle connects to the pot and pan. It hasn't given me any problems yet but I think it may have for other people. What EVERY mess kit producing company should utilize is just a generic "lip-clamping" handle. But then companies would miss out on making moolah off of replacing proprietary parts, I'm sure. Anyway, this kit works fine and is light enough for my needs.
