Puppy Bumpers Rainbow Paws

This was the answer to my prayers. I have a large size for my lab mix. She's 55 lbs and can squeeze between the posts of our flexible vinyl fence.... which she would do anytime the next door dog was outside. This works perfectly. She doesn't mind wearing it and it keeps her from getting out. I don't bother attaching it to her collar as that is too much work. I just put it around her neck. She has only wiggled out of it once that way and she was pretty excited and doing some weird movements when she did. As a bonus, I also have a small size for my cat (I was sent the wrong size on my first order through another supplier and they let me keep it so I tried it out on her). She's an indoor cat but likes a little bit of fresh air. It works great for her as well. It even stops her from jumping the fence or climbing the trees. I think just having something on her neck upsets her balance enough that she doesn't try to jump. She doesn't love it but tolerates it since the pain is worth the reward of going outside.The reason I give it four stars... I wish they had more attractive options. I feel like most of the patterns are pretty ugly. This was one of the least obnoxious ones I found but I would have loved a plain black.

A few weeks into our new puppy ownership, I began joking that someone needed to make a "fat suit" for puppy owners with picket fences. When I began searching the internet for a product that could address this issue, I found two, but this one is clearly superior in terms of design, comfort, and ease of use. This has dramatically improved our lives. Our pup feels empowered, and so do we. It doesn't restrict any of her activities (except getting through the fence, of course), and she doesn't ask us to remove it. Indeed, she frequently sleeps in it, and seems to enjoy doing so. The size we ordered is quite loose on her, but because it's held on by a regular dog collar threaded through loops on the bumper, this has not been a problem. We're completely sold on this product and are considering buying a reflective one for night time use.

The puppy bumper is cute and as described. The fabric and makeup are too fragile for an active bigger puppy breed. Easily chewed, seams have come loss, snap broke off, one of the loops came off. I've spent lots of sewing time on this. We have gone back to a modified neck pillow.I think this would work well for smaller, more sedate breeds. However, I would not recommend for an active puppy that would wear the larger size. Too expensive to have to constantly repair.

Just bought my second Puppy Bumper. My first bumper lasted a long time (over two years) on our active 45lb dog. She wears it whenever we leave the house so that she doesn't get out of the doggy door meant for my two little dogs. It was the perfect and only answer to an otherwise big problem, and it's comfortable for her to wear! This is an ingenious concept! So thankful that I found Puppy Bumpers. I wish I had thought of it!!! :)

Great idea but does not work. I measured my dogs neck as noted and ordered the proper size. We have a box terrier about 20lbs. The unit came but it sits too loose as the loops that go on the collar have lots of play in them. This allows the dog to work it into his mouth and pull the snap loose. He is chewing on it and I suspect it is only a matter of time before he chews through it. Yes he can't get out through iron fence but the pillow hangs loose around his neck. Only a mater of time before it becomes a rag. Probably should have just fabricated a block to carbineer to his collar instead of buying a loose fitting pillow

In the past, my beagle managed to find her way out of a relative's fenced yard. The puppy bumper keeps her from getting under the fence. She doesn't seem to mind it, and in fact, sat patiently each time I grabbed it to put it on her. I still need to check on her while visiting, but my stress level went way down. It also is well constructed and I think will last for a long time.

This is the third or fourth puppy bumper we've ordered for our dog. He is just skinny enough to fit through our fence. This has kept him safely contained within the yard. He is able to play and sleep with it on and it doesn't bother him a bit. We absolutely love the puppy bumper and would definitely recommend them to everyone.

Love the puppy bumper! Unfortunately my little Westie is a stinker and still digs to get out of our fence with the bumper on. This will work great if your dog is not a digger.
