As a teenager, he traveled to the Bombay port of Apollo Bunder. There, he met his Guru, an Indian Brahmin, who took him to his village in the valley of the Konkan region of Maharashtra. Later Cheiro was permitted by Brahmans to study an ancient book that has many studies on hands; the pages of the book were made of human skin and written with gold and it is still guarded and protected with great care. After studying thoroughly for two years, he returned to London and started his career as a palmist. He had a wide following of famous European and American clients during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He read palms and told the fortunes of famous celebrities like Mark Twain, W. T. Stead, Sarah Bernhardt, Mata Hari, Oscar Wilde, Grover Cleveland, Thomas Edison, the Prince of Wales, General Kitchener, William Ewart Gladstone, and Joseph Chamberlain. He documented his sittings with these clients by asking them to sign a guest book he kept for the purpose, in which he encouraged them to comment on their experiences as subjects of his character analyses and predictions. Of the Prince of Wales, he wrote that "I would not be surprised if he did not give up everything, including his right to be crowned, for the woman he loved." Cheiro also predicted that the Jews would return to Palestine and the country would again be called Israel. Good to start numerology
I love reading this book it’s in so depth to cover all its topic highly recommended for new who would Like to start for basic study of numbers.

Find a better edition
The book itself is great however whoever put this together must’ve been drunk. There are a lot of misspellings and duplicate pages.

Best Numerology Book Ever Written.
I'm so much enjoying having this book again, and it arrived promptly and was just as described. As my title above states it is the best Numerology book I've ever found. Cheiro is deep, he learned the Chaldean language and then went to where the original books were still kept. Once there he gained the confidence of those who kept and protected the ancient texts, they then allowed him to view the books and make his own interpretation. So, we have a system of marked significance (much more so than the Greek derived systems IMO)drawn from the original source; the compound number explanations are especially valuable. And I like that there is no letter that has a value of 9 assigned to it, as that was considered the number of God by the Chaldeans. This book is well worth devouring for those interested in classic Numerology - you will be rewarded.

Very Disappointing !!
I have studied Numerology for over 40 years and his calculations of your soul urge and destiny number are all wrong. I did mine numbers according to his formula , and they were off ! I am deciding whether to return it. I was hoping I could learn something useful but am disappointed. Elvis got this one wrong !

Very interesting look into Chaldean numerology. Every numerologist should at least be open to explore this ancient method. The context is derived from a period where omens and fatalistic events were the cornerstone but the information needs to be taken in modern context. Modern times allow for "accidents" and difficult situations and Cheiro does a good job giving the good and the bad which is necessary to understand the duality of numbers. I also find the interpretations and techniques centered more around one's karmic destiny than one's psychological breakdown and because of it I use it in conjunction with the Pythagorean techniques.

The very best
This is THE numerology book by which others are judged. I am one of the people who have an extremely strong connection with numbers 4 and 8, and everything that he says in the book is so very true. If you are going to purchase a numerology book, this should be your first choice.

Cheiro was one of the great seers of all time
Just replacing my old book that I misplaced. Anyone who is an "eight person" being born on the 8th, 17th or 26th of any month would find it helpful in understanding why things happen to them and how to diminish the effects of this fadic number. Cheiro was one of the great seers of all time, in my opinion. Anyone interested in the physic sciences will enjoy this book.

Looking back on history and what the numbers revealed.
Cheiro’s Book Of Numbers is a very interesting read, for the past and future.

No criticisms of the seller but the book is full of spelling and grammatical errors.
Insofar as the seller is concerned there is no criticism, the book is new, clean, well packaged and arrived on schedule. This book however appears to be abridged bits of information and is full of spelling and grammatical errors. I have a different Cheiro book and it does not contain the same sort of errors. The book is interesting because it is a Cheiro book, but there appears to be a lot of information missing from this version. The decision about whether it is value for money or not will be down to the individual. I wanted to know what was in the book and am okay with the price I paid for it. Thanks.
