Nature's Bounty E-400 Iu Natural Pure D-alpha, 120-Count

I ordered this because it's the pure D-alpha "real" vitamin E. I just received it day before yesterday so this is a first-impression review but so far I'm satisfied. I got it to mix with Tea Tree Oil to make a solution that I use in my facial cleanser (1 part vitamin E to 3 parts tea tree oil). The vitamin E helps with a bit of the harshness of the tea tree oil, which can be drying. Puncturing the capsules is a bit annoying but I like that I now have the option to try it as a supplement now as well as use it topically.The easiest way I've found to get the oil out is to just use a sharp knife and stab gently but firmly into an end of the capsule along the seam, that's the least-messy way I've found and you can then squeeze the oil out fairly easily.As a bonus, you almost can't avoid getting a little on your hands when you're squeezing the oil out and this stuff feels SO good. I think I'll start using it on it's own as well for an occasional hand treatment, it feels even better than my shea butter.Followup: I've been using this for almost two weeks now, I can offer a little more insight: First, as some other reviews have mentioned it's better to use this mixed with a different oil if you're using it topically. Jojoba is a good one, as it closely mirrors your skin's natural sebum and helps with absorption of the vitamin E. Second, I've been using it as a supplement daily with my fish oil and I think I'm noticing a bit of a general improvement in wellbeing, with this sort of thing it's very hard to pinpoint exactly what is causing you to feel generally "up" or "down", but in this instance it coincides with having been taking this vitamin E as a supplement since I received it. If I run out and forget to reorder in time (which I do a lot) I'll see if I notice a difference while waiting for the new bottle to get in.

I have difficulty finding NATURAL Vitamin E locally at a reasonable price. I would never take synthetic E. In my opinion, it would be better not to take it at all than to take the synthetic. I have been taking vitamin E for years, and added this to my subscribe and save order. I am satisfied with the quality and the price. For those looking to take supplements, remember that you need to take selenium with vitamin E for the most benefit. The ratio is 2 to 1, ie if taking E-400 you need 200 mg of selenium.

I've been ordering this product for the past year. It is a natural form of vitamin e and they've always been fresh. I started getting these for my dogs, which get a home-made diet. I also squeeze 1 capsule into extra-virgin olive oil when I open it, which helps keep it from going rancid as quickly. Then, I accidentally discovered that vitamin e eliminated my ovulation pain/cramping (this started in my forties). I was surprised that I hadn't heard about using vitamin e for this before, but after researching this (Google "vitamin e cramping") I found that there are several studies that say vitamin e may reduce cramping. For PMS related symptoms, I recommend taking this along with Evening Primrose Oil, which I've also found very helpful.The reason that I rated this as four stars is that recent studies are recommending taking 80 mg of the whole complex, including mixed tocopherols and mixed tocotrienols. It should provide at least 10 mg of tocotrienols. If you can't find that, look for a product with mixed natural tocopherols (400 to 800 IU daily). Avoid dl-alpha-tocopherol, the synthetic form. This product is the natural form, but it only includes part of the overall vitamin e complex.

This is the true Vitamin E d-Alpha! I love it!I take one each evening and I also break apart a capsule occasionally and use it topically. My skin is a lot healthier looking and it's helped to clear up some peeling skin issues on my 6 year old son's fingers... I feel a lot better using this on his skin (plus it doesn't sting) than some other highly refined chemical lotions. I'd highly suggest this to anyone :)

I am using these externally. I saw on the internet how vitamin E is good for your eyelashes. The price was good and a lot cheaper than in the stores. They seem to be working and I am pleased with the purchase..

Great product ,at first you will have a after taste of fish the first few days but then you don't notice it ,your skin loves this vitamin e.get it you will feel it in your skin. If I miss a few days I right away notice it with mg hair it feels like it's stiff,like you didn't wash it for a few days. Hair freelancing and manageable.with these pills.

These are the real deal, real Vitamin E rather than the manufactured imitation stuff. I had a very difficult time finding them, and so far this is the only brand/company I've found with real Vitamin E! I get dry, cracked skin because I have to wash my hands a lot at work, and this stuff really helps my skin heal quickly. I'll definitely be coming back for more when I run out.
