Not Quite Queen Size
First off I was quite suspect of the 5 star on this product, given by a lot of reviewers who only had one review under their belt. Well there was another reviewer with two so it alleviated some concerns. Then I saw the YouTube product video and as another commenter on the video said, that really made me buy the product. Why it was not included on Amazon's product description is beyond me.Some cons firstFirst issue I had with the product is that the queen size mattress topper is quite smaller than my queen size mattress. Once centered on the mattress the topper iss 2 to 2.5 inches too short on either side and about 2 to 3 inches too short from the bottom of the mattress. It still covered a good portion so its not a major deal breaker. The mattress topper came with elastics that could have been used to hold the topper in place, but I am not able to use it due to it being a little too small. The tubing that ran from the top of the topper to the heater/pump/reservoir is just long enough so that the device can sat right next to you at night, I sleep on the right. The power cord is of a good length but the tubing prevent me from placing the device on the floor. If it was about a foot longer it would have been better as I will explain in the next paragraph. The device is SILENT, to the point I had to question if I set it up correctly. That's in normal daytime ambient noise. However at night the device has a very low, but high pitched humm. My wife could not hear it, but since the reservoir is less than a foot away from my head, I could hear it clearly. It is not annoying, but I could see it become completely silent if it could be just a few inches away from my head. Since the tubing length is limiting it was the best I could do. I am also a very light sleeper, but noise did not prevent me from falling to sleep.Even so the product is a no brainer buy. The product changed my sleeping patterns for the positive. I've used a lot of electric heating toppers and this product blows them completely out of the water. The heat is completely even. No hot zones and no need to adjust in the middle of the night. Since water releases heat slowly and it is being regulated, you don't get the heat spikes that you do with electric blanket. More energy efficient too.The topper is manufactured such that you don't feel the tubing. It did have this hard plastic but low profiled box at the top where the tubes exit, not a big deal if you align it to the headboard and have pillows over them. I also had concerns of the tubes being kinked if we slept on it, but so far it has not been an issue. The packaging and build quality is very high, minor quib of the topper sizing, it is exactly what I expected of a four hundred dollar product. The product was packed so that it was easy to unpack and the manual is designed very professionally. It has not once occurred to me that I paid too much. After using this product, I'm inclined to buy it even at the $500 price point that it used to be on.

Purchased in 2017 and its still wonderful!
Purchased this in 2017 due to being Diagnosed with Lupus and Arthritis. This bed warmer has been a game changer for me. The moist heat rises up and aroumd you. Surrounding you in warmth. Perfect for those chilly nights and mornings. The water cycling through is very quiet with perfect performance throughout the night to keep the temperature steady. The heating device fits nicely on my bedside table, it looks fine ans performs perfectly. Keep the strap and storage bag. I take mine even on vacation to reduce pain and stiffness. This is priced well for the quality you receive.

Works better for me than chillipad
First I'd like to say, my preferences are probably a bit different from the average user since I'm bedridden and want a pad to regulate my temperature all day long. I owned a chilipad for several years and was pleased with it. However eventually it was leaking too much water for me to keep up with. When I tried replacing it with the newer chilicube model, the cube unit did not get nearly warm enough for me. So I ended up returning it and eventually buying the aqua bed warmer to heat me. Below are a few comparison points in case anyone else like me is trying to decide between the two units.- Temperature range: chilicube did not reach anywhere near the temperatures of the older chilipad and the aqua bed warmer can warm more than my original chilipad. However aqua bed warmer does not cool- speed of heating: I think the chilipad heated faster than the aqua bed warmer. This may be partly because the aqua bed warmer twin pad is larger than the pad I received with my single chilipad. However, I tend to be very fussy about being heated promptly, seeing as I get serious medical issues when my temperature isn't addressed quickly-- yet even with my being picky, I've yet to be unhappy with the speed at which the aqua bed warmer heats me. Nothing will work as fast as an electric blanket, but with the aqua bed warmer I'd guestimate I feel warm within 5 minutes.- pads: as mentioned the aqua bed warmer twin pad was much larger than my single size pad from chilipad-- it's nice having my legs warmed as well as my back. Some people talk about feeling the tubes that run through the aqua bed warmer pad and the chilipad. I tend not to be particularly sensitive to this type of thing and neither of them gave me issues. They feel pretty similar to me. I put them inside a waterproof mattress cover then under the fitted sheet on my bed and I've been completely comfortable.- remote control: chilipad has one, aqua bed warmer does not. However, the aqua bed warmer unit is smaller-- I still wish it had a remote- timers: neither let me just run the unit continuously like I wish I could, but aqua bed warmer lets you adjust the timer to 24 hours, whereas chilipad's would auto turn off after 12 hours. However, chilipad would beep when it turned off so you got fair warning to turn it back on instead of waiting till you find yourself having cold spasms. Aqua bed warmer does not alert you when the timer runs out and it turns off.- customer service: I've spoken with both aqua bed warmer and chilipad customer service, and they were both extremely nice-- seriously like the nicest customer service people out there- packaging and extras: aqua bed warmer came in much nicer packaging that included a drawstring bag and velcro strap to store the pad when it's not in use as well as a pump to suck water out of pad when you want to store it. Chilipad had no such bad or tie/strap. However, when chilipad's pad is disconnected from the unit, it does not immediately start leaking water. On one hand, it's messy having water start pouring out as soon as it's disconnected from the unit, on the other hand, to this day I still haven't figured out how to get the water out of my chilipad (which I was hoping to do in case I might be able to attempt fixing the unit)- pricing: even with my mother working every coupon angle imaginable, the lowest price I was ever able to get a chilipad at was $350. Aqua bed warmer is $100 cheaper. So I've only been using the aqua bed warmer for less than a week. But so far I'm pleased with it. Original chilipad was nice, but the new chilicube just doesn't get warmer enough for me.UpdateAfter 6 years my original aqua bed warmer died so I purchased another one. Things first went wrong when I tried to call customer service about purchasing another pad to hook up to the heater for travel. I tried to contact them multiple times at all available methods. No reply ever came. Then my pad started to not heat my side of the bed. I’ve had the new pad for 5 months and it’s not working anymore and no one in customer service is replying making their satisfaction guarantee and warranty just lies. Don’t waste your money here like I did. This is sad because their customer service used to be amazing, now it doesn’t exist.Update 2: I did finally get in contact with customer service. The trick was ignoring their website and messaging seller through Amazon. They were nice like hey had been before when I contacted them.

Quick, gentle warming mattress pad qualifies as non-electric warmer in assisted living facility.
The assisted living facility for my mom absolutely forbids electric blankets and heating pads-as a fire issue because the wires get bent in these items and can break. I asked ahead of buying this if it would qualify to be used by my 93 yr old mom, who is always cold. YES, it doesn't heat with wires throughout the cloth part of the pad. Instead there are silicone channels throughout, and lumpiness was not an issue. I positioned the connector at the head of the bed, dropping the water lines under the headboard (they don't touch it) and out to the side to the heating unit on the night stand. It warms very quickly, I'd say less than 5 minutes. Mom is able to remember to push the center button, which is all that is required, to turn it on, and it just warms for 10 hours until it turns itself off. I'm very pleased with the fact it covers the ENTIRE full mattress, and has corner elastics to stretch under the corners of the mattress, to hold it in place. I put a thin, bamboo mattress pad over it (which breathes but is moisture resistent in case of accidents). Mom loves it, and I know she sleeps better feeling warm. She also likes that it is comforting to her tailbone and back which are extremely boney and arthritic.
