By harvesting and treating the coffee in small batches and by making sure that the farmers who put their sweats in growing it got paid a fair price to making a decent living; to send their children to school and to comfortably provide a roof over their head. And at the end of the day, how do you know that you have done right by the people from whom you bought the coffee? By carefully looking at the smiles of the farmers in their farms overlooking the majestic Himalayas, shaking their hands, by promising that you will when they ask to please come back again, joining your hands, putting them next to your heart and saying Namaste. Our Coffee: Introducing Kathmandu is unlike any in the world. Kathmandu Coffee is brought to you from Alpine Coffee Estate which is located in the foothills of Ganesh Himal (Mt. Ganesh) - 35 kilometers from Kathmandu and is 100% Arabica Coffee, shade grown, at an altitude of 1150-1300 meters. Each harvest is hand-picked, timely fermented, wet processed and sun dried, preserving the natural character and flavor. Kathmandu Coffee is 100% Organic. Kathmandu Coffee is grown using sustainable farming methods with no pesticides, and harmful chemicals. With sufficient greenery and livestock, the farms use in-farm-made natural organic fertilizer for every coffee plant.
