Things to know
I didn’t want to review this product until I used it for at least a month or two, which would give me enough time to try the product and, as such, give a better review. It’s about a month in and my plants are loving this light. This product is so well built— not just the design but the materials used are great quality as well. The product has two switches for vegation and for blooming and this is SUCH a plus. I know most, if not all, lights now-a-days have two switches but what makes growmol different is that you can dim the light intensity. While some say this doesn’t really matter, let’s be honest- it must because every different stage a plant goes through reacts differently to the intensity of the lights.Another great feature is the use of optical LED. Most of the other LEDs around the same price range do not offer this. Instead they offer LED with reflectors. While some reflectors are proven to work, after a bit of research you come to find they can be a safety issue and can cause a fire if not built correctly or handled properly. LED lights on the higher price range tend to go with using optical over reflectors because that’s the better option. I hope this helps anyone interested in this product.

Great model! Now
Given that it has already "saved me" around or over $400, this light is worth it. If it broke, I'd buy it again, no questions asked. I had no problems with overheating, and I feel that it will last a long time. That's all I have.Update: On a second go with the same light I started out with. Great model! Now, on the first go I started noticing my plants leaves turning seriously white. I thought this would be a mg deficiency, and just let it ride out since it was so late in the grow that it happened. On the next grow, however, the same issue presented itself sooner. I tried mg supplements, I tried training it less, I tried less water, and more and less fertilizers over a number of weeks, even repotting, to no effect. My guess is that it's light burn. With an led, you ask? Why yes. This. Thing. Is. Stronk!! It's about a foot for the top of the plant, so I should have known. But, it's really just a personal problem, as I have a compromise-5000 model tent that is only 4" tall at the top. So, in short; work around your equipment, keep plants small, and buy nice stuff.

Doesn't live up to the stated brightness.
Just received this and plugged it in over some plants I brought in over the Winter. I bought this to supplement the daylight from the windows. I have an "active eye" quantum PAR meter, so I checked out the brightness, as most of the listings for these lights (all sellers, not just this one) overstate the illumination level. And true to form, this one claims 750 - 900 umol/m2 in the center at 24" (see second image in the listing). The highest level I could get anywhere in the field at 24" was 280 umol/m2. The minimum I like to see for good growth is 400 umol/m2. So this light is good for supplementing natural light, but not as the sole light source. At 12", the center gets up in the 750 - 800 umol/m2 range, and the area covered down to 500 is about 2 sq ft. So if you put it about a foot above your plants, then you're in the range to use this as the only light source, but you can only cover one large plant or 3 - 4 small - medium size plants. Here's a link to the meter I'm using: https://www.amazon.com/Hydrofarm-LGBQM-Quantum-Micromol-Sensor/dp/B0055F59LA

This light is VERY WELL made and easy to operate!
This light is VERY WELL made and easy to operate! It provides strong lighting for the plants. It would work well in a green house or for commercial use. A couple of downsides, which account for 4 starts and not 5. 1. The cooling fans are fairly noisy for a room with houseplants. Since most of my plants are in the home office, I will eventually replace it with something quiet. 2. Also, the area of coverage is smaller due to the 90 degree lenses angle. However, it makes the light very concentrated. The red color is far more pronounced in the spectrum, which makes my plants look red. On the bright side, one of my plants started flowering after 3 weeks under this light, so it clearly does the job. 5 other plants benefitting from this arrangement are also looking much healthier now. Therefore, I am putting up with the noise for now.

First time buyer of grow lights
I've never purchased anything like this before, I recently took up a hobby of growing fruit plants and decided I should try some challenging plants. So I ordered this one on blind faith, so far it's looking good. Packaged well, lots of useful extras like a cable kit for hanging it and all the stuff you need to get it working.Would be nice if I had some additional assistance with settings on the light, it's simple enough but i'm not sure I understand how to use the intensity setting.I just received my first tropical plant today and it's now basking under the light of the plant light, will update further once I have more LTR info.

First Impressions
This is my first review on this light. Received it today and was impressed with the way it was packed. Plugged it in, adjusted the dimmers and it looks good so far. I have a 3x3 grow tent and it seemed to cover it great. I will write a later review after I get to the flowering stage. Wattage and price are very good. I actually found this light by accident, as it never appeared in any Amazon searches that I did. UPDATE...i'm finishing my harvest with these two lights in a 4x4 tent. I had three autoflowers and three photoperiods. I switched the light6 to 12/12 after autos showed gender. The photos are in flush. I have to say these lights are amazing, to say the least. I had about 1 and 1/2 ounces per plant of great bud. Switching the light schedule reduced the yields, but the photoperiods will make up for it. I have Durban Poison, Trainwreck and a Durban Poison crossed with who knows what. They look to be at least three ounces + per plant. Love these lights.
