Mr Selfridge: Your Backstage Pass to the True Harry Selfridge Story and Making of the PBS TV Series (British TV Drama & Movie Series Book 7)

Just finished watching this series which I discovered on Amazon Prime. It is so engrossing and fascinating that of course you want to know more about Mr. Selfridge and the TV Series. I didn't notice that this is available for download so I bought the paperback. The content is only 30 pages long. It is a pamphlet, not a book. It is essentially a book report with information culled from the most public of sources. Not sure why it got so many positive reviews but I'm here to give you the truth: there is no real value here.

Though the information was interesting, I was disappointed with the short length. Guess I expected more details on stories.

What a boring little essay! This isn't a book it's a run on sentence filled with multiple writing errors!

I found more information on Wikipedia for free. This was not worth the money at all. Don't bother downloading it.

Good as background information but nothing spectacular. Choppy presentation. Happy to read as a Kindle but would not buy it as a present for any but diehard Mr Selfridge fans (like me!)

It helps to understand the real background, and this book did just that

I appreciate the details contained in this book as I didn't start watching this from the beginning. For me, this book has provided me with background information i didn't know about Harry Gordon Selfridge. Love the various quotes sprinkled throughout, especially: "Excite the mind, and the hand will reach for the pocket." (HGS). So true! All in all, I liked this book.

Brilliant facts and written very well. But £1.99 for a book that's not even taken me half hour to read. So glad I didn't pay out for printed version.

Mr selfridges story is an incredible one the retail trade would have taken years I'm sure before you become what it is today with out Mr Selfridge

Short but brilliant /Excellent would recommend

Nearly threw it out with the packaging thought it was a leaflet...Very thin booklet...

I was expecting to know where Harry went when he lost the store.

Interesting, but very short and only worth a few pounds.

I was a little disappointed because not many pages. With that being said I was please de to read it's a book that goes right to the point. What à man in this industry . ....
