I ordered 6 of these and 4 of the rougher textured ones. Personally i feel like they are expensive for styrofoam, but I looked everywhere and this seemed to be the best deal. I made this giant pegboard and ordered the 7.5inch styrofoam balls to stick into the pegs and store my wigs/hats/jewelry, etc. This size is absolutely perfect for wigs. I used a regular drill bit, maybe half the size of the peg(dowel) to drill a small hole halfway into the ball to peg it lol. It stays put, none of them broke, but styrofoam bits did get all over the place. Not a big deal to clean up though. These are smooth, making the wigs easy to remove and put back on. I have a couple of the rougher textured balls, they hold them better, but unless you glue the ball to the dowel it’s annoying to take the wig on and off the display. These smoother ones are perfect, but if you have a wig a little heavy in the back and it slips too much, I was thinking a soft side Velcro sticker should stop that. Anyway- great balls. 10/10

These foam balls are wonderful, I used one to make my own pomander for my wedding!

Great for blocking knitted hats.

Much bigger than I anticipated but will work well for whatbi want them for.
