Put a Ring On It (Black Dog Bay Novel)

This was my first Beth Kendrick book and I loved everything about it. I loved the characters, the locale and especially Rory. I have to describe this book as just plain fun!

Brighton Smith has a practical job in insurance, but when her fiance breaks off the engagement, she takes off to visit a friend in Black Dog Bay, a resort town specializing in broken-hearted women. When she discovers (I don't think this is a spoiler since it happens so early on...) that her ex-fiance has impulsively married a woman he just met, she does the same—with the handsome, wealthy "catch" Jake Sorenson.This is the third in a series (I remember Jake from previous installments), although it works as a stand-alone novel. It involves a certain suspension of disbelief in parts (i.e., Jake not caring about a prenup even though he is filthy rich and knows this is only a temporary marital fling...people are willing to drop ridiculous $$ on her jewelry designs even though she's an entirely unknown designer) but is overall a fun, light romp. I've read most (if not all) of Beth Kendrick's books and am never disappointed.

I don’t read many romances, but I really enjoyed this one. The main character was relatable, the guy fabulous, the dog great, and the story moving. I was rooting for them by the end. The lavish lifestyle and jewelry were enjoyable elements. It’s perfect for summer feel-good beach reading!

I just adore Beth Kendrick's writing. Every Black Dog Bay book leaves me feeling happy, content, and wanting to visit there myself.Put A Ring On It was no different. I loved seeing Jack Sorenson actually fall in love. And I love finding out what else is going on with the characters we learn to love in the earlier books. Just lots of love for these books.OH and thank you Beth for adding a playlist at the end. Awesome!!!

Love love love the Black Dog Bay novels. I'm a huge chick lit reader and cannot get enough of the characters. They are well thought out and I honestly feel like I know them and the author sucks you in to their little town. I am (im)patiently waiting for book #4 to come out . They don't even need to be read in order, but you will get some spoilers if you start with book 2 or 3.

Sweet & witty, this is a really fun weekend read. In a town noted as a place to rebound from failed relationships, it's good to know there are still folks who have faith in love. This town and it's people offer 2nd chances in love & life.

I like all of Beth Kenderick's books, they're charming, romantic , sweet, and great fun, it's like a dose of healthy whipped cream.
