Night Tree: A Christmas Holiday Book for Kids

This book is one of my favorites to read to my students in December. It’s a wonderful story about a family tradition. It’s a classroom must have.

Beautiful book about decorating an outdoor tree each year with family for wildlife. My little boy loved it.

Love this story and this was purcahsed for a gift to give to a 6 year old!

I shared this book with our grandkids and their families. I also include bird feeders, popcorn strung with cranberries, etc. as described in the book. Our family has for years enjoyed reading this during the holidays and decorated a tree near us for the birds and other wildlife.

I fell in love with this book as a kid and have started giving it to all my friends with kids now that we have families of our own. Beautiful story, beautiful illustrations, and it has sparked our own "night tree" family tradition.

A sweet story that follows a family's tradition to go to the same tree in the woods every year to decorate with treats for the animals...I enjoyed reading it to my 5 year old daughter, and she liked it, too. Unfortunately, the quality of the paperback book was far too flimsy. More than half the pages have fallen out during our first read! I'll find a way to repair the book, but a brand new books shouldn't be falling apart before finishing reading it!

This is what I want for xmas books! Immediate family going out into nature to decorate a tree naturally. Earthy. Natural. Simple. Call it pagan/wicca. Just tired of the xmas books all about the materialistic stuff or santa or big huge gatherings. This is what xmas season should be about. Simple amazing memories with immediate family and respecting nature. Back to basics. I would love more stories like this. Great read for my 3yr old. Beautiful pics. Will look for more books if there as any other wheel of the year type books from them.

I bought this book as a resource for work with children with Autism. I loved the simplicity of the story based around a family finding their Christmas tree in the forest and decorating it with home-made snacks & popcorn chains, for all the birds/animals to come and feed from.A heart-warming story promoting family life and being at one with nature; sitting among the trees in the forest drinking hot chocolate. I am looking forward to reading it to my Grandson when he gets abit older:)

We appreciated the timely delivery and the great condition of the book. More memories will be made for our grandkids thanks to being able to receive this book.

Très bel album qui change des histoires traditionnelles de Père-Noël. Cette famille est vraiment dans l’esprit de Noël. Les illustrations sont magnifiques de réalisme. Les enfants ont adoré et ont pu réfléchir à ce qui est vraiment important en cette période de fêtes.
