Q: There are three different sanders, all seem the same but the prices are different - what am I missing?

The difference between this 6423 and the 6421 is this is variable speed, the 6421 is not.

Q: Has anyone had their new sander make a metal ringing noise when they first started using it? Sounds like the cooling fan rubbing on something.

check to see if sanding head screws are loose. One of my screws came out and it started making that noise. Do not run it, it destroys that piece between head and blade.

Q: Does this sander use hook and loop or adhesive disks?
