Our Mujingfang 18? Jointer Plane can be used either with or without the handles and either pushed or pulled. The blade is set at 45° and has a chip-breaker which is attached via a screw to the blade. The cutting portion of the blade is A2 high speed steel tempered to Rockwell 62-63. The blades are sharpened and will cut, but for best performance they should be fully honed prior to use. This plane is made from Ebony and is used as a jointer or long smoothing plane. It is 18" x 2-11/16" with a 2" wide blade.
