These lights are awesome! Walking 2 dogs in the darks, carrying a mag light and poop bags (esp. full poop bags) is no treat! With a puplight on each dog, we've got plenty of light, are totally visible, and are much more relaxed now that I'm not fumbling with a flashglight! The collar like thingies that hold the light slip on and off easily, so you can take the light off of the dog quickly -- like when you need to borrow the light to pick up poop! the only reason i gave the product a 4 out of 5 is that the collar like thingie is not adjustable enough - it's only adjustable on one side - as result, it just dangles around a small neck. my black lab puppy wears a standard medium collar on a small fitting and the light dangles on her like she's playing dress up. i tried putting it on her collar, but the attachment on the actual pup light is pretty big and I fear it will fall off her 1/2 inch collar. once i buy her a wider collar, we'll be all set. i just wish you could adjust both sides of the collar thingie that comes with it. Great product though, totally recommend!

The light is bright enough to be seen at night. My one problem is the compartment holding the batteries. I needed to put black electrical tape on the back to keep it attached to the light. Despite this design flaw, the PupLite is the best one I have found so far. PupLight.com was good enough to contact me after reading my review and replaced the item free of charge. Hopefully this will not happen with the replacement light.

I highly recommend the PupLight to anyone who walks a dog at night. I like to walk at night with my three black dogs. Before I got the lights, people would zoom past me at ten miles an hour over the speed limit, and I would pull my dogs way, way off the road any time I heard a car approaching. After I put the lights on them, I was amazed at how cars slowed down and gave us room. Cars now drive the speed limit or slower when they go by us. Many pedestrians have commented on how great the lights are. Without the lights, people used to think my three large dogs might be dangerous somehow. (They are as gentle as kittens.) With the lights, people find my dogs approachable and friendly. Before the lights, no one would ever stop to let us cross at the crosswalks, but with the lights, people stop and happily wave us across.Also, these lights help to see where we are going. I carry a flashlight anyway, but most of the time I don't need it since the dogs are lighting our path. The batteries last a long time. We have used them in the rain with no trouble. They are easy to get on and off, and they are adjustable to all sizes of dogs. They are just plain fun to use. I find that I am walking the dogs more often and farther since we got these lights. I can't recommend this product enough, and I wish I had gotten them many years ago.One note of caution: do not leave them on your dogs when you are not with them. My two youngest dogs had them on while I had to run back in the house for a few minutes. They wrestled, as they often do, and one of the lights got pried apart by a canine. I couldn't find one of the batteries and thought the youngest might have eaten it. Fortunately, I found the missing battery after a long and thorough search. Don't leave your dogs alone with anything that contains battries, including the TV remote.

Loved it at first. Very bright, good size, AAA batteries. The switch was a little hard to work, but not that big of a deal. But it has a fatal flaw in design. Only the battery cover, which snaps onto the light, is attached to the collar. So if you leave it attached to the collar when not in use, you soon find that only the battery cover is still attached to the dog and the light itself is laying somewhere. Hope you can find it.

I purchased a PupLight several years ago. When we moved to a new location my neighbors kept commenting on the light so I purchased this one as a Christmas gift. The PupLight is by far the brightest, most long lasting and durable dog collar light I have ever found. I tried the lighted collars. The light wasn't very bright and my dogs long fur covered most of the collar. I tried the lights that hook to your dogs collar. The light lost brightness quickly or stopped working altogether after a shot time. Also with these lights they didn't last very long in cold weather or deep snow. I have had my original PupLight for about 4 years now and have replaced the batteries only twice. When I walk my dog at night, the super brightness of this collar quickly alerts drivers and other people walking at night that we are on the road. It provides a feeling of safety when we are walking at night or when my dog is out in the year. Before moving we had a heavily wooded acre lot. I could see where my dog was at all times when he was out in the yard at night.

I bought this for my golden retriever so I wouldn't have to carry a flashlight when we walk at night. It definitely is bright enough to light a small path ahead of us, but a flashlight does go farther. I don't think that's much of a drawback, just wanted to be sure folks know that you can only see a short distance ahead with this light. The collar that accompanies it is very lightweight and stretches so you can just slide it over your dog's head. My dog doesn't even notice that he's wearing it, but he's a 70-pound dog. I would recommend this product.
