Very helpful
This book is far-reaching. I initially bought this book so that I could start prepping for the APUSH test. I skimmed through the practice tests and they seemed to me that they were top notch. The questions were based on readings and documents you'd normally see in the class. The format of the test is very professional; the answers aren't far-fetched or incredibly difficult. They weren't particularly hard for me but whatever questions I didn't understand were carefully explained to me in the answer key. Now, I'm using the book to study for my APUSH tests and quizzes. The chapters aren't too long but packed with information I thought was relevant to the course and test. I especially liked the practice questions. Though they are similar to the ones you'd encounter in the practice test sections, the free-response questions help you develop your writing skills on the essay portion of the AP exam. I don't regret receiving this book and I'd recommend it to anyone in APUSH. Also, I think it's better if you buy the book now rather than later because it would definitely help you in class as it would in the AP exam.

Another helpf AP prep book
This is the review I did for the AP European History. It holds the same for the AP US History as well: "Sophomore daughter who is dedicated to her studies begged me to purchase several different AP review books. Out of the 3 she put in the cart and subsequently bought, this was the most useful. In fact we were able to purchase the Barron's AP books exclusively for her other tests. She was pleased with how the questions and answeres were current with the tests she took. I was thrilled with her final grade! Granted, she did all the work but said she would recommend this to her friends :-) "

Utterly and Completely Useful
If you are a high school student taking this AP class this is a defiantly MUST !I recommend this product to everyone, even if you don't take AP US History it will be helpful in your regular US History class. It gives you a summary of everything that happens in history & there are a bunch of practice test. The only thing about this is that i would suggest getting this a few months or so before you are scheduled to take your AP test because the book is a bit thick. Other than that this is utterly and completely helpful.-Josephine

Comprehensive and useful
I bought this for my neice who is a junior in high school and will be taking her US History AP exam at the end of the year. It seems to be a well-organized, thorough. and practical test study guide and was recommended by her college prep advisor as one of the best AP exam study preparation aids available.

Flashcards were better
I personally preferred the flashcards to the book. The book had many spelling errors. I liked the questions at the end of each chapter in the book but I think there was still some information that could've been left out of the book.

What a helpful book!
This book is written as if a really personable professor were lecturing and discussing the topics. It's very readable and doesn't sound like a "review book" at all. The questions are insightful, and the answers are well thought out and they give you the information you need to know why they were the right ones. As a person interested in history, I'd recommend this book to anyone who is studying for any kind of history test. This guy knows his stuff! My daughter used it, quite successfully I might add, in all her American History exams.

Recommend as an MTEL Study Guide
I actually bought this on a recommendation from my history professor as a study guide for the MTEL (Massachusetts Test for Educator Licensure). The MTEL study guides are useless but this is a decent refresher guide that covers pretty much everything as comprehensively as you can expect from a study guide. It is a good way to identify your weaknesses so you can go to a more in-depth source to get the details.

Great Book!
A great review book! The writing is easy for teens to understand and makes great summaries on specific topics that you need. The chapters in the review book correspond to my AP US textbook. I recommend this review book for anyone that wants to read these quick summaries and answer the sample questions involved in each summary. Also there are sample regents at the end of the book.
