It took a solid 2 weeks for Max to get it ! Takes lots of patience but worth it for us.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. It took a good 2 -3 weeks for Max to understand how it worked. He kept scratching and moving it like the balls would automatically come out while it was empty..lol Every so often I would put it away because he became overly excited and we got tired of having to help him get over his fear. It wipes him out which is great and great exercise as well for him.

Really fun for the dogs
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I ordered one of these launchers and then after seeing how much fun it was, my mom ordered one. We have small dogs, my toy poodle is only 5 lbs and hers is about 8. They love playing with it, it shoots the ball out really well and we love that you can adjust the distance. The only thing that I would change about this is for small dogs it is difficult for them to hold onto the 2 inch balls. My little one has a very small mouth and it would be nice if they could come up with a launcher for these size dogs. She can play with it and she does but she can't quite get up high enough to put the ball back into the launcher. My moms bigger poodle has been able to do that so they have fun playing together, he puts the ball in and she retrieves it with him. As you can see in the video, she does tend to drop the ball as it's just a bit too large for her. At the end of the video you will see them both miss the ball as it shoots past them, kind of funny. All in all, very simple to use, fun for the dogs and us and I would recommend it. Have only had it a couple of weeks so as far as durability, we will have to wait and see on that.

Ok for toys dogs and the like not for medium or large dogs
It said no where in the ads it takes mini tennis balls. 2 inch balls. I have a dog not a toy poodle.

So Much Fun for Our Ball Addicted Fur Baby
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Every single night for the past couple of years, I've had to throw a ball in the house for my little Brody. He is obsessed with playing with a ball and can retrieve a ball while I watch TV for HOURS. As a Mother's Day present, the kids thought this toy would be a fun change from having to throw the ball myself and let a machine do it.My little dog is afraid of everything but he's not afraid of the noise associated with this ball launcher. He brings the ball to the machine as near as possible (he hasn't started putting the ball in himself but it is only day two), and I sit on the floor and feed the tennis ball into the hole, and out pops the ball. He absolutely loves it! He wags his tail in anticipation.I'm so happy to let my arm take a wee break and hoping Brody learns how to put the ball in the hole and play by himself.

Not for a “chase me” dog
Even though I returned this item, I would recommend it ONLY if you have a dog that will retrieve and “give”. If your dog wants you to play “keep away”, I don’t think he can be taught to use this product because the fun for him is the chase. Having said that, it is a well constructed item and worth the money.

2 out of 2 didn’t work—waste of money
This was a huge disappointment. I bought this and once opened the mechanism that brings the ball forward didn’t work. So I returned for a replacement. When the replacement came, the mechanism to bring the ball forward worked, however after the first ball was projected out every other ball barely went 5 inches out from the machine.I changed the button to the highest distance and it barely shot out. At this point, I’m lead to believe that the product itself is flawed and is definitely not worth the money. I won’t be attempting to order anything from this company again.

Worth the monies
idk what stretch is for but sure lol this toy is pretty amazing for how small it is. It has 3 different length settings on it to shoot the ball. 1 minor set back is that if the ball you're playing with gets too slobbery and wet - the machine doesn't grip it as well and it doesn't shoot as far even on the highest setting. We use it indoors for our pup so even the low setting is fine . Super easy to setup ,plug in and go. Its sort of loud so if your dog scares easily you might have to train them into getting familiar with it but both our pup and kitten Are very interested in the toy!

My dog loves it
It is a nice small unit. The ramping up noise when it is getting ready to launch the ball is not too loud and does not seem to upset my dog. The 3 launching distances are nice, but not always consistent. And it has jammed/ stalled twice, but I just unplugged the unit and cleared the ball. And it restarted just fine. I have not used it on the battery mode, only plugged into the electrical outlets. So I do not know how long it lasts with batteries, or strength of launching.

My papillon loves this!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. My papillon, Friday Knight, loves this ball thrower. I usually keep the balls out of reach because he loses his mind for them. Now he will throw another toy into the top of this and scratch at it to get me to grab the balls and turn it on.He has learned to keep his head low so he doesn't get binged in the head. LolThis toy excites him so much! He rates it 5 stars +++

Does not work after a few throws. Machine is fun to use for as long as it works
Does not work after a few throws. Machine is fun to use for as long as it works. Very good product just needs to stop working suddenly. I should have listened to the other reviews but oh well. I’m returning it now and getting an ifetch
