Our two grandchildren LOVE this book. I was a little disappointed that a page had been cut out, however.

This is a classic! Toddlers love this book.... especially if you're willing to "get into" the sound effects ( rumm, rumm). :)

It was, very, very, very expensive---over $71.00 FOR A CHILREN'S BOOK and one of the pages was folded back against itself. However, as an Early Childhood Specialist Educator, it has great concepts and language appropriate for non verbal and visual communication. BUT $71.00 HOW CAN YOU JUSTIFY THAT. I know I paid it but was expecting no faults for that price----

The story is easy to understand,,with a bit of humor that most 2-3ur olds "get". The illustrations are richly detailed, especially the two fold out pages. Good book for circle time.

Recommended it to everybody. It's a fun book to read to your kids.I just wish they had a hardcover.

My 4 year old grandson never tires of this book. We talk about the characters on the bus and the reactions of the people (and the dog) when they are held up by the bus. A lovely book and not one you get sick of.

This book is great for kids who like vehicles and is a wonderful read aloud for a groups as the prose has an attractive cadence and the illustrations are big bright and appealing. I highly recommend it - every child I've read it to has loved it.

I agree with L. Look -- somebody reprint this thing now! This was a favorite book for each of my sons, and now my 4-year-old nephew requests frequent rereadings. The bright colors and simple, rhythmic prose -- not to mention the variety of vehicles -- make this a fun and delightful read, particularly for kids who love things on wheels.

My little brother grew up with this book, I could read him the whole thing without even looking at the pages, it was his favourite book by a far. So I recently bought it for my god son, and he loved it too, the book is great as it encourages kids to speak with keywords like 'stop'. It was such a hit I recently bought a 3rd copy for another friend's little boy and again he's obsessed too! A book you really can't go wrong with for a boy (girls may like it too, I just haven't given it to one).

Amazing rhythm to it- my two year olds favourite for months and months and we didnt get bored either- a rarity. Didnt initially warm to the pictures (despite the illustrators extraordinary parentage) but soon changed our minds when we came to love the book so much.

My son likes this book.it has a big long fold out page through the middle which makes story interesting and words which stand out which makes it easier for him to learn to read.

Very poor-pages were torn and selotaped.Was advertised as good but it certainly wasnt.Worst condition ive received a book in.I know its a childrens book but I expected better condition than this.
