Great Sound - Great Choice!!!!
After a lot of research of Wireless Speakers and looking at Sonos v Denon, I decided on Denon. Whilst I havenโt tried the Sonos option, I am 100% delighted with the Denon Speaker. So delighted I bought a second one for a separate area of the house. I love CDโs but it is a lot easier just to tell Alexa to put a tune on or a Radio Channel. I like listening to Virgin Radio and it is a lot easier with the Wireless Speakers. No need to link the phone to Bluetooth. Lovely Jubbly!!!!!

Nice speaker
At the time of purchase the Denon 250 was retailing at ยฃ449 from Denon and Currys. Not sure I'd pay that for it but having got it new from Amazon for ยฃ349 I'm more than happy with the price and it's performance. Overall a nice sound. Set up was easy. I have it wired direct to my router, so that may have helped make set up a breeze. The Heos app takes a bit of getting used to.

Denon home 250 thoughts
Had my home 250 about 8 weeks now and am very happy with it. Initial setup was a bit of a pain but used a network lead and that sorted any problems, the app isnโt the best I have used but once setup it works. I am a Qobuz user so streaming music I use the new connect and use the Qobuz app for all music streaming. I use the HEOS app only for radio and local music files stored on a hard drive The sound from the speaker is amazing for such a small device and I will be adding a second at some point for true stereo

Good wireless speaker
I bought this as my main speaker for a room. It works very well. I like the look, the sound, how it is used. There are however some issues, which I would have preferred to know before purchasing: - I have all my music stored in MS cloud. The app, which you have to use to play the music does not allow a connection to cloud. - When I play music from my phone connected via Bluetooth, it keeps cracking ... I would say about every few seconds. - When playing music from my phone, it does not recognize my playlists from the phone - really annoying. I am impressed with the selection of radio stations in the app, which I listen to regularly.

Great Sound - Easy To Use And Set Up
As a purchaser of Denon products in the past, I wasn't at all surprised by the quality of my latest acquisition. Having lived with the speaker for over a week, this is a really easy 5 stars. Sounds great, looks great and integrates with our Alexa devices perfectly. Really love the quick select buttons for our favourite radio stations. I'll be adding more around the house for sure. Very happy.

quality speaker (home 250)
Great sound! especially the bass. I've had the Home 250 for a few days, using it in the home office. Mostly I play jazz/soul/RnB while working and it has a beautiful clean sound which doesn't get grating after extended listening. Was conflicted between the 250 and 350 but the unit size is quite substantial so feel that 250 was the right choice. The HEOS app is sometimes a bit slow but that's a very minor quibble. Edit after Alexa compatibility upgrade: Great improvement - now that it can be fully integrated with Alexa voice control. Good just went through better to best!

Worth the purchase.
This stereo version produces a great sound with heavy base and good sound separation.

3 reasons why I regret buying: bad Bluetooth spec, horribly complicated and doesn't do YouTube
When you finally get this thing set up, the sound is great. But you need a lot of patience and some technical knowledge to get there. My 3 reasons for regretting buying it: 1. The Bluetooth is the wrong type and is not fit for purpose 2. It doesn't work "out of the box" 3. You need to be an expert if you want to use it with YouTube etc At ยฃ450, I think I can reasonably expect all of the above to be just fine. They are not. Bluetooth has been around for about 20 years, and I have never, ever had an issue. I didn't even know there were different types. However, the Bluetooth on the denon is the wrong type and suffers from interference and drop-outs. It is not a "fault" or a quality problem, it is just the wrong spec. I finally resolved it by using a fixed AUX cable and abandoning the Bluetooth altogether. Hey - we're back to the 90s! At this price, it should work out of the box. It doesn't - you have to wait for software updates, awkward configurations and spend time on forums and expert sites. It is helpful if you are a geek and an electrical engineer. As I am only a bit geeky and a mechanical engineer, it took me all weekend to get it set up. YouTube etc. Presumably, the people at denon look down on YouTube as having sound quality unworthy of their system. The under-developed and clunky heos app won't connect to it. You need some tech knowledge of a smart phone to trick it into working. I am sticking with it - I could send it back, but after all the effort and hard work I just can't be bothered. This has been my first experience with denon and I will be very surprised if it is not my last.
