If we are sanitizing (I've put my bottle in the dishwasher) then why toss it after 3 months' use? And why 3 months?

Well you need to toss it so you can keep buying more of them. The 3 months is probably a time period that seems realistic enough to the customer on when to change it while still having us going back to them. It's a great product but they have to make money somehow.

is the bottle the same as in the "Sinus Rinse" version?

Can i mircowave sanitize this with parts of the seal stuck on it?

We would not advise it. Two alternate methods to sterilize the bottle without the use of the microwave are as follows: 1 oz of white distilled vinegar in 8 oz of water, or 1 oz of 70% Isopropyl alcohol in 8 oz water, both using the same steps as cleaning it with soap and that will disinfect the devices.

Why is this pre-filed and cheaper than any empty options? This is crazy.

We feel that it is priced accordingly. The Starter Kit, (empty Bottle & 5 Packets is less than this), is priced less than the Ready Rinse, while the Sinus Rinse Kit, (empty bottle & 50 Packets), is priced higher than the Ready Rinse.
