Living in the Philippines is a great guide introducing you to the wonders of the this country. I never realized how low the cost of living really is. I've been looking at Belize and Costa Rica for my ultimate destination. After visiting I found Belize too low a standard of living for me, but perhaps the Philippines is an option??The author did a nice job cutting to the chase and giving you the quality information you need to make a decision. There isn't enough information to up and move, but definitely you'll get a nice feel for the country.I recommend you grab this book and learn what this country is all about. BRAVO!

Although I am not retiring, I will be spending the next year to two years in the Philippines. I have never been there before and I've been trying to learn as much as I can before going over there. This book caught my eye because it wasn't just about visiting the Philippines, it was actually about living in the Philippines. It was full of great tips and advice on how to get settled and live a fulfilling life. I am even more excited than I was before about my new venture to this wonderful country.

This book is a con. Uselessly short, it's forte is telling you the obvious or giving you very basic information that you could readily obtain from a thousand other places.Gives the impression that it was written in a few days by a dull and unimaginitive man with limited writing skills.

Excellent little go-to guide, if you consider retiring overseas. The Philippines is an amazing country and I found this book useful as it gives you information on cost of living, good places to live and how to obtain immigration status. The book is short and sweet and inspired me to keep pursuing my retirement dream.

This guide gave me a general overview of what to expect when moving to the Philippines. I have been thinking about moving out of country when I retire. Thanks to this guide I will be able to make an educated decision. This is very exciting to me thinking of how cheaply I could live in a tropical paradise. Would recommend to anyone considering this.

A good enjoyable lite read. This is a very well written book on a very interesting subject. The author clearly knows what he is talking about, and has a passion for the subject.Highly recommended if you are considering a move to the Philippines!

This book was given to me by a friend who had been to Philippines. It is the best and most helpful guide I have read so far.All I can say is that there are few places on earth that compare to Philippines. plenty of places in here to read about, that may not be on the charter itinerary!

This ebook provided a good basic overview. It was a bit simplistic, not going into the more complexities of relocating and functioning in a foreign culture. Most of the advice was pretty sound, but I would say it sidestepped a lot of the difficulties that are likely to be encountered.

This is a virtual tour to Philippines and never ever miss this book. Wish there are books like this for my country explaining the benefits and costs of living.

More like a 'pamphlet' than a book. Most of this information is EASILY obtained by reading a few Internet articles.

Very informative and well written. A must read for retiree’s like myself who are planning for the future. I’ve ruled out the Philippines, though I’ll want to visit some day to see the beautifully described locations during the recommended dry season. So yes, this book was very helpful and a delightful read.
