The Ultimate Skin Picking Cure Guide: How to Overcome Compulsive Picking and Dermatillomania for Life

Useful gem of a guide :)
Another little wonder of an e-book in this series of overcoming various issues, "The ultimate skin picking guide" doesn't disappoint, but firstly I just need to say something. The picture on the front of the cover completely grosses me out and causes an audible "ugggggh" every time that I see but then I remember that THAT is why it's a good thing to overcome something like skin picking for the people who do it. The book is informative in a very simple and fresh way and it gives good foundations of knowledge, for example defining what `dermotillomania' is ( I had no idea until I read it in this e-book). In and of itself this guide is quite short but like other books this author has done, it is detailed yet concise - perfect to know that I can read it quickly but don't have to worry that the issues have been skirted around too much. I personally think the structure of this book is really great as it explains what the issues are, various causes, symptoms and effects, then ways to overcome the skin picking - so it gives you a good span of information and lays some good foundations of knowledge on the topic. I thought it was cool to see how this condition could be linked to other mental illnesses and it's clear to see that background research has been done in the process of this guide. Fantastic. At the end of the day, I think this book lays a good and essential foundation to dermotillomania without causing the reader to get too dregged under fancy long medical words and confusing sentence structures. I recommend this book to those struggling with skin picking but those with a weaker heart may not want to look at the cover picture for very long!

Worth reading if you need to know the basics
A good quick read. Its a useful book for those needing to get some insight about this condition. However it doesn't offer much in terms of ways to stop skin picking. I think I will be reading this again from time to time if only to remind myself certain aspects of the condition. It just didn't offer me any new information.

Helpful little book
Very Clear and concise information. Gives some good advice but not enough to cure dermatillomania. Recommend as a starting place for finding out about this disorder

Thought provoking
Positive and inspiring giving a brief insight into the underlying causes of this condition and encouraging self-exploration in order to conquer the habit.

Not worth paying for
No actual help here, just the obvious- avoid stress, get plenty of sleep. waste of money.
