SAF-INSTANT YEAST RED LABEL SINGLE 1 lb (16oz) PACKAGE

This is the only yeast I use. Works really well and stays fresh for a long time in the fridge. We make homemade bread and pizza all the time. Rises nice and always comes out great!

Great yeast. I love that it works quickly and I only have to add it to the dry ingredients. My buns turned out perfectly. The amount for the price is great. I much prefer buying this quantity over individual packages. This product is very fresh and great quality.

The reason I purchased this SAF-INSTANT YEAST brand is because the teacher I am learning how to bake bread and bread products uses this particular yeast. All her breads come out fluffy and well risen. Her baking goods are unbelievable ! I can't wait to bake some bread and buns with this yeast :) Also, the price is unbeatable, you pay for 1 lb. about the same as for a small jar of only 4 oz., and the small envelope of 0.32 oz. are even more expensive. I've also learned to keep a small amount in the fridge, and the rest to keep it in the frizer, it will last forever. So, you cannot go wrong no matter what.

A great quality yeast. Superb rise and baking performance. Last quite while. Solid item for your pantry staples. Great price point.

Love this yeast. I feel like the one you get from the store has an aftertaste. I lasts longer than it says. Always great to get a fresh pack.

Pkg was a nice, tight, vacuumed packaged brick, at a great price, delivered so quickly (next day). The expiration was January 2028 (today is June 25, 2026) Purchased from a third-party seller but fulfilled by Amazon. Very happy - looking forward to using this yeast because it has a great reputation for reliability.

I’m on a bread and pizza making kick and this yeast works well adding to flour for the rise. Because it’s instant yeast you can just add it directly to the flour and mix. No need to proof. However, I did proof it once with some sugar and warm water and it sure rose that bread faster and higher than ever! When you first get it you think it’s a brick of yeast because it’s vacuumed sealed. However, once you break the seal it loosens into what you’d expect. Which tells you how important it is to keep it sealed! Seal it well and store in the fridge and you’ll get a good rise every time you use it. The only negative I have is resealing is kind of difficult because it’s like a bag.

Works great! I made English muffins and didn’t have to proof the yeast. I did not use warm water either. The English muffins puffed up more than with regular store bought yeast
