I presently own 4 of these straps, 1 for each of my DSLRs - and now that I just got a new DSLR I'm coming back to buy another one! For a Pro- level or Semi-Pro who are lugging around full-size Pro or Prosumer DSLR bodies all day on assignment, these straps are the BEST! I started buying these when I did professional photography back in the 1990s (Back in the days of film-cameras!) - and I still use these today on my digital SLRs!They evenly distribute the weight across your neck so there's no pinch point. This is especially good when you're carrying a very heavy 70-200 f2.8 zoom lens mounted on an already-heavy DSLR body. The straps have plenty of flexibility, and just a very little bit of stretch. The flexibility allows me to quickly move around and get the shot. The minimal, but existent stretch is also important for absorbing shock while you're walking - but it has to be just right... Other neoprene straps I've used had way too much stretch and tended to make the camera bounce too much when hiking to a location. That constant bounce will tire you out fast. For me, the shock absorption on these straps is just right, while not making the equipment too bouncy.Because they are cloth-backed neoprene, they will not slip off my shoulder if I'm carrying the camera on one shoulder. That's important especially given the cost of the equipment you're carrying! Nothing ruins a day faster than having your camera slide off your shoulder and go tumbling down a hill!Bottom-line: I've been using this same brand of strap since the 1990's, both as an amateur and then professional photographer. They work well, are well-made, last for many years, and are inexpensive - THEY JUST WORK! If I had one complaint/observation it is that after years of use, the cloth covering eventually separates from the rubber neoprene. This has happened to all, but has taken MANY YEARS of use before that happened. At the current price of $13 bucks on Amazon - just buy a replacement every 10 years or so if they wear out!!
