Hydroplanet 150W Grow Light Kit (150W HPS BLUB)

I bought 3 of these. One of them didn't work. That aside, here is my thoughts on it. I've used HPS lights for over 30 years, ranging from 1000 watt down to 400 watt, but I've never used a 150 watt. I really like the amount of heat it puts out. I have these in a west facing room with a lot of exposure and they don't significantly add to the temperature. I also like the reflection from the hood. These lamps are for a small grow. One will cover about 24"x24". The ballasts are pretty quiet with no humming. I don't really have any complaints about it. I've only been using them for a month so I can't vouch for their durability. But for the price I think it's worth it. I would've given it 5 stars but one came broken.

great light gor 2x2 grow,,,hardly no heat, I have led lights thst put out almost as much heat,,,and this thing is bright ,,,all my plants love this,,I used to be all led,,but now I can see different lights for different applications, ,,,,and hps rocks in cold northern winter,,led is great for hot summer grows,,now I have the best of both worlds

I have an older sun system 150 watt and they're incredibly similar. I hope this one lasts as long and is as dependable as my old one. Bought this to add just a little more light in my tent. Its bright and my babies are loving it. Discreet packaging. Which was a big deal for me. Considering the ups guy delivers to my work also. It seems a little lighter weight than the older one. I love the 150s because they're easy on the electricity bill. Barely noticeable. They put off enough light and with 3 in my 4x4x7 tent I can keep it at about 75°f and they're cool to the touch with clip fans on them. And I have the same if not better yields than my buddy with a 600w in the same size tent. They're still a little harder on sprouts and babies I've experienced leaf burn.

So far this is a five star review!! Its day 1. The light came in two boxes also has styrofoam protecting the light. The straps are very sturdy amd clamped down well. Most of all the light is very bright and putting off enough heat for a 32x32x64 inch tent. Hopefully it last a long time

While this light gets the job done I suppose, I hate the thing. Buzzes annoyingly. Wrote to the company to ask for a solution, they never replied. Would not buy again.

TWICE THE OUTPUT OF FLUORESCENCE AT LEAST per watt. This my second one and with the tops of plants 18 inches away the lux at the top's surface leaf is 200 on the 100 scale. I bought hype florescent T-5s but they only put out 200x10 at 1 ft.

Worth money still going no issues at all. Still haven't replaced bulb knock on wood lol

Easy to set up, bright, and not too hot for a 2x4 tent.
