Best stand I've used yet
I write software for Android devices of varying sizes, from phones to tablets. I use iOS devices for personal day-to-day use (iPhone and iPad). I wanted a stand that wouldn't be locked into any one device size or cable position, yet stable. Portability to slip into a carry-on is a must, and even better if it doesn't look like a suspicious device when going through TSA, like my previous metal folding tripod iPad stand. This stand is great. It folds flat, so it's about the size of a modern mini tablet, and it's light. It can be expanded two ways: inclined for a more vertical use like a laptop screen, or a low horizontal slope for a more comfortable typing position. Best of all, in either setup, it doesn't tip over when you poke at the touchscreen on your tablet! In fact, thanks to the rubber grip strips and rubber feet, it inspires confidence. Nothing moves.Plenty of room for cables, and it works great even with my monster Samsung Note 10.2" tablet... even in portrait. Also holds my iPad 3 in its case just fine.I'll only knock a star off for being a little bit hard to open. I think the manufacturer could have designed a better mechanism to pop the stand open. Instead, you're left digging your fingernails into a narrow slot at one end, and pushing with your thumb on a round "PUSH" button. If you chew your nails, or you keep your hands manicured ("jewels not tools" as they say), you may have trouble with this aspect.I'll knock one more star off for the hinges and "snap" closures feeling a bit cheap. Maybe this will last a year. I don't know yet.Cheers!

A good portable stand.
I like the way this stand is designed. It will hold my iPad Pro in either orientation, with adjustable angle. It even allows the user to prop up the tablet at a slight angle off the table for text entry or viewing. I especially like the way it folds up flat, so as to be easily carried in an iPad case pocket. I don't like the fact that the hinges are made of plastic. I'm sure they would break easily. So, I have to remember to be very careful in handling the stand. But, with a gentle touch, the stand should last indefinitely. This is my second purchase of this stand. I'm still using the first one, which is more than a year old now. So, I'm a repeat customer. That should tell you something.

versatile, sturdy stand -- compact too!
this is a great stand. it folds down into the size (roughly) of my ipad mini. it's got a ton of different angle options, and it holds both landscape and portrait orientations. it even holds my 3 ring binder with recipes in it. it has little rubbery strips (the grey color on the picture) that add just the right amount of grip on slicker surfaces, which is a great plus.i will say, however, that the little arm inside that does all of the adjusting of angles needs a little attention. it doesn't always seat well into it's pivot point and it can easy pop out when you're rotating it. (it has a C-shaped hinge point that snaps around a cylindrical mount point on the inside of the stand, around which it swings to allow for the different angle adjustments). it does usually clip right back in again, though. all in all, a great little stand.

Flip Stand for iPad
This product was used by me for the newest iPad. The product is small, light and good for on the go iPad stand. For use everyday as an iPad stand for which I was looking for, it falls short. The plastic feel is not sturdy, the front clips that will hold the iPad, the lip is too small, it feels like the iPad can easy slip out. The bracket that makes it adjustable is good that but can easily fall out of position and cause the iPad to fall off. It would be better if the clips that hold iPad in place had a larger lip to help secure the iPad and the adjustable bracket in the back was more secure on the top and groves that it fits into on the bottom were deeper. We had a problem with the stand, after calling the vender we were able to get a replacement stand the next day, excellent service.

Good idea, so-so engineering.
I'm not a huge fan, but for the price and the alternatives it's OK. I'd keep browsing, and if nothing better has come out keep this in mind.Good: It raises the tablet high enough that you can plug a wire in for charging. It sets up easily, and holds its ground on presses near the top, at least on smaller tablets (I have a Nexus 7). Light enough to put into my travel bag. The fold-out arms are of fairly good quality, and are rubberized. Has a back so less stress on the tablet bottom.Bad: The angle adjustment doesn't click into place and relies on gravity to hold. It's rather thick for what it does, with an airspace in the middle. It seems like it could have been made thinner. My biggest problem, and why I wouldn't recommend this for most, is that the hole they give you for inserting the cord to charge is too high for the mounting arms. Your cord has to be bent around to get back into the hole for a clean look and organization.I'm buying a dedicated dock for work instead, and this will be my travel stand exclusively when the dock comes in.

GREAT EVEN SITTING IN YOUR LAP
I looked high and low to try and find a stand for my Dell Tablet and this one is very nearly perfect. The only thing I would improve upon is the locking device as I like to use this on my lap and sometimes the stand position I have selected can come loose if I move too much. To compensate, I just use a small piece of duct tape and that holds it in place. It does have two flaps that fold out so that you can rest your tablet on them. They also easily fold back up...so that you can collapse the complete stand for flat storage. It will be great for my travel plans and will fit nicely inside my soft storage bag along with my tablet. I think you will like this device as you can see by the illustration that you can position your tablet either horizontally or vertically.
