Bunnies

It's good choice!

My four year old and I love this series. They are great for reading aloud, and great for kids starting to read. The simple words and memorable rhythm helped him memorize it quickly and gain confidence with trying to read other, harder books. These board books are nicely made as well and a great size.The reason I did not rate this one five stars is that it's missing the little joke with one of them being asleep until the last page when all the others are asleep, and we were disappointed. It's our favorite part about Kittens and Chicks.

For whatever reason, my son LOVES this book above all others. He even wants to sleep with it at night. We got this book as a gift and he took to it immediately. We accidentally left it at Grandma's house, so I ended up rebuying it. He has taken to it immediately again, so funny! I think it's more about the picutres than the words, it's just 'bunnies do this, bunnies like that' but it's cute. Can't beat so much happiness for my kid for $4.

The kittens book was far better. Every page of the kitten book applied to every cat I have even known.... there was nothing in the kitten book that was a stretch or repetitious. HOWEVER, with bunnies there are far less silly behaviors than with cats, so there was not as much material to put into a bunny book. Therefore, this bunny book is slim on content. A number of pages are a stretch, repetitious, or poorly utilized. For example: one page is about bunnies hopping through flowers and the very next page is about bunnies hopping through puddles - there should have been only one page with bunnies hopping. There was also a page on romping through the woods and showed rabbits wrestling. Worst, there is a page having bunnies playing with chicks, which is beyond ridiculous especially with a chick trying to wrestle away a carrot. Things that are far funnier and should have been included are: sneaking around at night to eat your garden plants, indoors they hide under furniture or hide in boxes, they chew cords and carpet, jump over fences or onto furniture, multiply like crazy, stretch out long or bundle up like a ball, wash their faces, scratch their ears, etc. none of that was included in this book. Having raised rabbits for years, I just expected more. Will be returning.

My granddaughter is particularly fond of bunnies and loves looking at this book. We read it often and in fact, it finds its way to the car with her. Those bunnies do everything together but in their own way.

Adorable, simple book. The illustrations are very cute. One of my 4 year old daughter's favorites! We also have the "Chicks" book, which is just as loved!

My daughter is not quite 2 and she loves this book! She has kitties, puppies, and chick's too and they're equally adorable and fun. Short, fun sentences and bright, fun pictures make these really great books.

Great illustrations and my grandson loves these books.

There are definitely better books out there.
