Good Mic
It was easy to setup. People are saying the mic is low. You just have to make a few adjustments. I put optical wire from the TV to the Amp. I put the AUXILIARY wire from the Amp to the soundbar. Turn the soundbar to the auxiliary. Your voice will sound very loud. I forgot to mention this is the first ever review.

Work as advertised with outstanding connectivity
I have use this system for over a month. In summary, the system works as advertised with excellent wireless connectivity. The audio quality of this unit is outstanding, and it helps that I connected this unit to a reasonably quality sound system for this assessment. The unit is hidden behind my TV screen for esthetic reasons. As a result, my TV is blocking the direct line-of-sight communication between the unit's antennas and the wireless microphones. Yet, at 20 feet distance, the wireless connections are excellent. I get about three hours of uninterrupted quality wireless connections on a fresh pair of alkaline battery. After that, I experienced intermittent connection drops (time to replace the batteries).

HDMI Use
This little thing is great. I have an older HTPC that I have been using for years, used to use it for a lot of things but now just karaoke. Unfortunately, the power supply died and I don’t want to keep upgrading that for karaoke, so enter this little gadget. I was super excited that it has HDMI in and out making it super easy to connect. I tried to hook it up to my AppleTV box, but it wouldn’t work at all with AppleTV 😔. So, I figured i would try with my XBox instead. Works really well, only the HDMI audio would click out every 20 seconds or so - really annoying. I instead ran the optical cable (included in the box) to my receiver, using HDMI video out + optical audio and and it works great!I did need to buy an HDMI splitter to go with this (splitter, not a switch, as I don’t want to have to push another button every time I use it). You could leave this unit turned on at all times, but I don’t like the bright red power light while using other sources and I don’t believe this unit supports HDR video (not sure about 4K either) so I set it up so this only turns on when I want it for karaoke. Hope this helps people with ideas on how to set this up at your house!

mic volume is soft, connection not as straight forward
Got this for xmas and was excited until I tried to set it up. Played with various settings - HDMI, Digital out and finally got the digital audio to work but lost the TV to soundbar integration. Soundbar only turns on if the mixer is ON and I didn't want to keep the mixer on all the time. Previously, when I turn the TV on, the soundbar comes on automatically. When I got it going, it was difficult to adjust the mic volume so that the TV volume is softer. So every time I want to the this system, I have to make changes to the TV and mixer. Too much work.

Poor quality and manal with limited support availability
What a disappointment. I was excited about this product and the fact that I could get it the following day through Amazon so I didn't read the hit or miss reviews. It arrived on time and was easy to connect the optical cables that come with it to the TV and my AV Receiver, but neither one of the microphones will pair to the Karaoke receiver.Following the troubleshooting directions in the manual I powered down the mic and the receiver. Then held the mic power button down til I got the flashing "1d". At that point I quickly released the power button and quickly press it one time which put it into pairing mode, which was confirmed by the flashing signal icon in the top right corner of the mic's LED display. Then I turned on the karaoke receiver and waited for it to pair and nothing. After about 10 seconds the mic moved out of pairing mode as the icon stopped blinking. It tried this several times and nothing. Tried it in an area that had no other electronic devices and nothing. Even when out and bought the best world champion AA alkaline batteries available just to check that box and nothing. Tried to contact the manufacturer, but their support line has better than bankers hours Mon-Fri from 10am to 5:30pm so I sent a detailed email help request. We'll see what happens, but regardless, any simple fix if one even exists should have been in the manual.

Microphone delay creating an echo on both the wireless mics and my own corded mic
I was disappointed with the mixer and I ended up returning it for a refund.I hooked the mixer up to my Vizio M-Series soundbar and my Vizio M-Series TV. The wireless microphones that came with the unit and my own corded microphone both had delays that created an echo.I hooked it up using all sorts of combinations using Optical, HDMI Aux. I changed the soundbar equalizer to all the different settings it had eg (Movie, Music, Direct, Game). The echo still remained. The mixer and microphone did not feel cheap -- they had a bit of weight to them and seemed like quality. The mixer and microphones may work for other brands of soundbars and TVs -- I don't know.I do think that the mixer will work with a receiver instead of a soundbar without the mics having an echo.It also probably best not to be running raw mic vocals through your home theater system as this could blow the speakers. Home theater systems use compression on the audio and are not designed to handle raw vocals. So be careful, if you plan to use you home theater for Karaoke.

Works with my smart TV and receiver
My smart TV is connected to my receiver (through optical/Toslink cable) so the sound from the TV is output to speakers. I need to set up karaoke and Sound Town 16 Channels Wireless Microphone Karaoke Mixer System works for my purpose. Here is the setup: 1) Sound Town 16 has an optical/Toslink input and also an output. My TV connects to Sound Town 16 by an optical/Toslink cable so the sound from TV goes to Sound Town 16. 2) Sound Town 16 comes with two wireless microphones, which connect to Sound Town 16 directly after power on both Sound Town 16 and microphones. 3) the TV sound and microphone sound are mixed and output to my speaker through an optical/Toslink cable. This is how karaoke works in my setup -- TV karaoke music and microphone sound both go through the Sound Town 16 ==> receiver ==> speakers. If your system is like what I have, you can use Sound Town 16 for karaoke purpose.
