A great buy!
5'9, 164It fits me just right, but not much room for wiggling. The quality is great for the cost/weight and it kept me warm. Love that it's so lightweight and easy to get back in storage bag.

Horrible. The zipper broker the first time we used ...
This didn't work for my family. I wish the zipper was stronger.

nice all-around sleeping bag.
Great sleeping bag, I've used it several times, last time I used it, it was around 38*F and it was a little cold inside the tent and sleeping bag but I put my coat inside the bag and it filled the empty space by my legs and solved the problem. I would recommend this bag.

Great sleeping bag for the price. Bought it for my son to go on a school trip and he loved it. It's also big enough for adults.

An average entry level bag
First, I received this bag free for testing and review. I recognize that a review of a free product is something fundamentally different from that of a product for which one has paid, but I do believe such reviews can be useful in decision making when the process is respected, and I've tried to do that here. What you're getting with this order:(1) Sleeping bag, rectangular with hood.(1) Compression stuff sackWhat is this and why might I want it?: This is an entry level sleeping bag which at the posting of this review is being offered at the budget price point at just under $40. It is made in the rectangular style and thus is roomier than a mummy style bag and allows for side sleeping. It does include a mummy style hood though which allows for holding a pillow and can be drawn tightly around the face to trap heat. It has a length of 82.5" and a width of 27.5" and weighs in at 3.3 lbs.Does it work?: I've tested the bag and have the following observations to share:Appearance: Rectangular bag with rounded hood. The top half of the bag is red and the bottom is gray with a diagonal transition. Baffles are sewn in a serpentine pattern and are sewn through. Inner bag is gray.Build: Build meets expectations for price range.Zipper is functional and stitiching is without visible errors.Function:Mummy Hood: My favorite feature of this bag is the addition of a drawstring mummy hood. This serves at least two purposes; it can hold a pillow in place, and it can trap heat from the head where so much heat loss can occur.Zipper Baffle: A zipper baffle is advertised in the product description. I do not see one on my sample. A zipper baffle is a section of insulation that would travel the length of the zipper, helping to block a draft from the zipper. I don't know if they mean a baffle or a draft tube, but it doesn't much matter because I don't see either one.Draft Collar: A "shoulder baffle" is advertised. I am assuming that they mean a collar here, but either way, I don't see one.Serpentine Baffle: Sewn through which leaves it vulnerable to low temps (but remember this is not advertised as a low temp bag) but which makes for a more comfortable sleep surface in my opinion as the shell and lining aren't sliding over each other as you move around.Temperature Rating: The bag has an extreme rating of 20 degrees F. One should remember that this represents the lowest survivable temp and has nothing to do with comfort. The comfort rating of this bag is 41 degrees and is likely to be slightly higher for women who tend to sleep colder than men.Zipper: Zipper is two way and when not in the bag I can easily work it back and forth. When in the bag, I have difficulty getting the last 8 or so inches zipped up. Mine is a right side zip, meaning I have to reach across with my left hand from inside the bag to zip it up. I don't really care and have had many right zips that didn't give me trouble. This one is only difficult at the end for me.Stuff Sack: Included with purchase, this sack allows for compression of the bag for packing.Anything else of note?:-At the posting of this review, the bag is eligible for free shipping to members of Amazon Prime; always a check in the plus column for me.-The stuff sack is of good quality.Any negatives?:-Not seeing the advertised zipper and chest baffles.-I'm not huge (6' 2" and 225) but this bag is tight on me and is difficult to get the zipper all the way up from the inside.Bottom line: This entry level rectangle bag is "okay". Please remember that this is not a bad or negative score, it simply represents the performance in relationship to others in its class. If you're looking for an affordable option for car camping, child sleepovers or other warmer weather, lighter duty options then this bag merits your consideration. If you're planning on using it in the back country, I think there are better, more feature rich options available even at this price point. Enjoy!
