OwnMy Leather Cutting Tool Kit Leather Strap Cutter with Aluminium Handle

I've had this in my hands for just hours and I already LOVE it. It is easy to put together, and SOoo easy to use! It feels sturdy in your hands while you work with it. It is a simple tool that does what it's supposed to amazingly and simplifies making anything you need with long narrow pieces. I thought I would feel unsafe and that ot would be a decent learning curve but it's just the opposite. I actually feel really safe using this tool and I figured it out real quick turning out straight professional looking straps in no time. Definitely a game changer!!

Strap cutter is made of cast aluminum. My product that I received had a stray sharp piece of metal on it. Should have been removed during production, however I sanded it off so I could use it safely. Upon using the cutter a few times, it seemed to improve it's strap cutting ability, possibly because the leather was sharpening the blade. Good price for what it does, and it comes with extra blades. I recommend this, however use safety precautions as it has an exposed blade. You might want to sharpen this with a leather strap before using to avoid frustration.

I have tried several different wooden versions and none hold up to this. It is also the only one I've found that will truly cut a full 4 inch strip.

Easy blade replacement

Sloppy machine tolerances mean the guide wiggles a bit within the handle so you're risking uneven cutting. Not great. But marginally better than no tool at all.

Solid aluminum body, doesn't feel cheap! I do have to use pliers to get the clamps tight enough to cut rawhide but great for what I'm getting into.

The strap cutter works very well. The only thing I would say is that the arm that holds the blade can wobble up and down which could potentially put a slight angle on the edge cut. I stuff some paper underneath mine to hold it flush and that helped. Overall, it works great. The blades that it comes with a sharp and cut well out of the package but can also be stropped to hold a good edge over time.

When this first came in I wasn't sure how well it would work because the pieces seemed to fit together a bit wobbly. However, after using it I am ecstatic at how well it works. Holds a straight line with no deviation, blade cuts through thick leather like butter, and the parts are all metal so they should last a good long while.

Appears that there is broken tooling inside threaded hole.

Blade is very sharp and protrudes from the item. Care must be taken
