Snail Trail

Delightful story/picture book
A very cute story about the adventure of this little small as he makes his way from place to place. Short amount of words on each page to keep a 2 year olds attention. The expressions on the snail's face are adorable. Our 2 and 3 year old grandchildren love this book.

Cutest book for littles ones
I read this to my son starting when he was an infant. It is great for reading aloud because the text takes your voice up, down, slowly, etc. My absolute favorite children's book. A must-have!

Brilliant Book
My children all absolutely adore this story. Every aspect is just right for little ones and for any older siblings as due to the amazing illustrations, there are always things to look for or that can be found/pointed out.The wording is good. Short and to the point which is brilliant for children to be able to follow. It also means that they can try and say some of the words also. The story is fab and due to most children liking snails and not being a particular large amount of snail story books around, this is sure to be well liked by them.Illustrations are really good and the expressions Mr Snail has at times is fantastic. This author has written some fantastic children books, which I remember fondly, so this is a lovely one to share with my young ones. (Bought as a birthday present for a just turned four year old snail loving boy but also appreciated by a two year old who also has a liking for snails!)

Short and simple
This book is a bit shorter than I expected and a very simple story. About 5 pages of the snail crawling over, under, through etc then it falls asleep. My toddler didn't find it the most engaging but it has good positional language and it bought up some good minibeast discussions.

Very short but lovely book
Very short sentences; not many pages; but nice drawings. The last page is a really nice opportunity for you and child to talk about the journey the snail made and what it could have done or how things look different to different people. The book has excellent quality thick paper. The font is clear and has a nice contrast. The font uses the better lower case 'a' for this age range. (It doesn't have a hook ascender and an open counter on top.)

Great for knowledge and understanding
This book is beautifully illustrated. It is a fantastic book for Reception class with their fascination of mini-beasts.I like the way the snail's journey is described as going up a hill, through a tunnel etc and it isn't clear until the final page what this journey actually entailed. (Children may have fun guessing) This book could be used to meet many areas of learning, It would fit in with a mini-beast topic, it uses positional language, and gives a clear illustration of a route.
