Fun tool to have!
I have a lot of fun with this!Two things I’d like to mention: The DOF, magnification, and focal distance is still very dependent on your lens, so feel free to experiment.Also, be very mindful of dust/dirt landing on the now exposed lens mount; you don’t want to get something like that on your sensor if you decide to flip the lens back around.I think this tool is a great purchase because it adds a new layer of functionality to your already owned gear, and you can get some genuinely impressive shots for such a cheap alternative to a proper macro lens!

Worth it
I don't know why the review is asking about warmth and sheerness. Anyway, this was really fun to play with and gave some good magnification at a good price, I mainly used my 18-140mm lens with it. Of course you lose autofocus ability because there's no contacts for the lens. The only real annoyance I had with it was that because my lens doesn't have an aperature ring, and with how the nikon lens I have is set up the lens goes to automatically the smallest aperature, which makes it pretty difficult to aim and focus your subject, but I can manually hold the aperature wide open to get focus and aimed. Definitely recommend a tripod, it shortens the depth of field by a bit so slight movements would take the subject out of focus. The picture of the bananas was with my lens as close as I could get it and focus with the lens on normal, the one before it is with the reverse ring on, so you can see the difference, and then there's also a picture of a chain I took with the ring on. The warm white balance is just from my lighting I had. All in all worth the cheap cost to experiment with some different macro shots without having to crop.

Great and robust accessory for macro
This adapter ring is made of metal.It has markings to let you know where to attach to camera body.the threading is accurate and no issue has arisen from any lens I have used.
