Interior Freedom

A truly beautiful read
This is book is a gift to any Christian reader. It has helped me to approach God with childlike faith, depending on him for everything. It tackles all the common human struggles that lead us away from having God’s peace and joy in our lives and how to work through these to grow closer to Him. I will read this book many times over.

Refreshing
A short but inspiring book. Simple language was used by the author and I believe this book can help both Catholics and non-believers have a better understanding of true freedom

Comforting
This book is uplifting and comforting to read. In my experience the interior freedom is a slow one. I think it helps (on the forgiveness and psychological issues) to not be too simplistic, to understand the depths as well as to partner with God to overcome. Forgiveness is a relatively short word compared with the work it takes to ‘give it.’ I appreciated Simon Wiesenthal’s book: The Sunflower🌻. I think it helps best to appreciate the complexity of forgiveness and not judge ourselves when we simply ‘can’t.’ At least, not yet. With God, of course, there is hope. But the author of this book in question comes across wholly sincere and well-meaning.

One of the best books ever written
This book is beautifully written and encourages you to live in freedom from fear, worry, and anxiety. It’s written by a Catholic author so as a Presbyterian I didn’t agree with everything the author said but for the most part (90%) it’s an incredible book. So much meat in it. I have given it to several friends and they all say it’s been one of the best books they’ve ever read. I highly recommend.

A BEAUTIFUL PARADOX: TO BE AS POOR AS A CHILD IS TO BE AS RICH AS ONE
In a battle against God, it is sweet victory to be vanquished! Omnia in Bonum! (Romans 8:28)Spiritual poverty, utter dependence on God and his mercy, is the condition for interior freedom. We need to become children and “consent to expect everything as a gift from God our Father: absolutely everything, moment by moment.”
