Moen Home Care Chrome Multi-Function Handheld Shower with Pause Control, DN8001CH

I had one of these for about 10 years and the rubber handle on the top broke. I ordered this one as a replacement and it is perfect. The other one is still fine to use (put in another shower), just no rubber handle. Very good value - built to last !!!!!!!!

Well suffering from extreme neuropathy and losing feeling everywhere it was a necessity to find a hand held shower wand that also had flow pause. Now don't get me wrong, as I've spent 35 years helping people buy all these items and more so I'm not uninformed. Moen did a great job designing a lite weight easy to grip hand held shower with a pause button. Sure flow rate is held back by government mandate but does a effective job and of course has different styles of flow. Tyvm Moen as your one of the 3 companies I always turned too for my customers. Now I also get rewarded back💗💗🙏💗💗

This is great if you have issues with hanging on to a handle. It is used by someone who has a problem hanging on to things. It was stated the handle doesn't hit the floor any more.

Resident Mother in Law is going in for hip surgery so we're trying to fix up the bathroom for her times of least mobility. One of the things that would make life easier is if there was a hand-held shower unit that was longer than the current Water Pik 5' shower head so she could use the transfer bench in the bathtub -which only fit at the backside of the tub. Moen offered a 7' hose on their unit and they boasted of a water pause switch and had an easier to use handle. This sounded so good I bought 2, one for MIL and one for my husband and I. I also bought a Mommy's Helper Safer Grip Portable Shower Arm to stage the shower head away from the wall where it normally goes.Where things went wrong was installation. I installed the Moen DN8001CH Home Care Pause Control Hand Held Shower in my shower and a relative installed the other one in the bathroom MIL uses. No matter what we did both of us could NOT get the bracket to stop leaking. We used the supplied Teflon tape, our Teflon tape, different torques in tightening, everything. After 10 tries each, we re-installed the Water Pik bracket and the leaking stopped in both cases. The other thing we noticed is that the shower head doesn't actually pause all the way. In both cases it does take the water flow way down but not off completely. That's good enough for our purposes. The last negative is for me only, I have very thick hair that's 36 inches long. I need water pressure to soak the hair enough to get it all wet. There are only 2 settings on this shower head: Pulse and Spray and neither are strong enough like one of the Water Pik settings, but I manage.What was good:7' hose is perfect in both cases. With the portable shower arm, disabled people are able to sit and have the ability to soap up and not have to put the head in its original bracket between each operation, the hose reaches to the seats in both shower and bath. The extra handle allows arthritic hands to be able to put the head over the bracket instead of trying to seat it properly, and also to not drop the head if hands get too soapy or shake too much. The other good thing is that the switch to change from pulse to spray is a slide so arthritic hands don't have to fight with a round selector -grasping that way hurts a lot.I look forward to Moen improving this unit so that there are more spray options and that they fix their silver-colored plastic bracket that doesn't have a good seal when mated with a shower pipe.

I am sooo pleased with this shower head. While it has a button to turn the water off on the handset & save the temperature setting for me, a little bit still comes out (and that’s ok with me). I love the hand guard that fits around the top of my hand. The hose is longer than my old one & I really like that aspect too! I would buy this again & I highly recommend it! I had my first experience with retuning something to Amazon and I must say it was a lot easier then I thought it would be. I do feel that my s&h costs should have been refunded for me having to expend fuel and time to correct Amazon's mistake.Now onto the product itself. The showerhead works as advertised we are satisfied with it after a couple of modifications. First we removed the strap on the back of the showerhead as it just got in the way. I removed the 'water pressure limiter" screen on the threaded end of said unit for better pressure.The "pause" button works well. There is a steady drip of water when the button is engaged but honestly I've never had one with a pause/off button for the water flow actually completely stop the flow. The pressure on the unit is great (remember I removed that water pressure limiter before using it) the different spray patterns are good. The hose is long and sturdy. The install was as easy as most others.All in all I would recommend this if you know what you're doing you wont be disappointed. If you are looking for something to make you happy straight out of the box good luck!

I bought one of these for my mother over 25 yrs ago. She finally succeeded in abusing it to death! After much searching I found this identical replacement. Best handheld shower head on the market! Now, happy mom.Lots of other expensive fancy looking units on the market, but they are designed to quickly fail due to wrong materials and poor design.

Es una regadera de teléfono de una marca reconocida y en general funciona muy bien. Su instalación fue muy sencilla y se ve bien en la regadera. Es importante que la función de "control" no detiene por completo el flujo de agua, sólo la disminuye mucho con el fin de mantener la temperatura constante. Cualquier regadera de este tipo debe funcionar así ya que si no se tendría que re ajustar la temperatura cada vez.Le quité una estrella porque es toda de plástico y no se siente de materiales premium, la manguera también es de plástico pero esta sí se siente duradera.

Uso la regadera para bañar a mis hijos en tina, super práctico que puedas apagar el agua desde la regadera para poder enjabonar y demás. Buena calidad y fácil de usar.

Muy práctica solo se enrosca en el tubo de la regadera y listo, se puede regular las salidas de agua y es muy fácil abrir y cerrar el flujo.

Pause button works great, it's light weight and the long cord is very handy. Note that pause reduces the flow to a trickle which is what I expect from a showerhead, it's not a shut off valve.

Obtained this just prior to knee replacement surgery and a a few weeks of sit down showering. Sure happy we saw this online. The extra hose length made it ideal for using a shower chair and reaching around to get my back and "other areas" and the trickle valve was a great feature too to allow more control. No it isn't chrome to match everything else but it isn't unattractive and certainly does the job. Installation was a breeze, no tools required. Highly recommended.
