I wasn't too sure about the Envy when I first received it for a product review. I have used many different straightening devices throughout the years. I was pleasently surprised at the built quality. It feels really good in your hand and has a nice "clamp". It does a very good job and straightening the hair and I didn't notice any hair pulling. The last thing you want while operating a hot iron is to have it pulling out your hair.

VERY BULKY & left my hair very fly away. I am NOT pleased AT ALL!

I love it. Just to have one but lost it, so I got to get the same again.

There are many things to consider when shopping for a straightener, including your hair texture and the size, optional features, and plate type of the iron. I naturally have straight hair but when I get out of the shower it frizzes. This straighter works well and you don't have to spend $100 to achieve the look you're looking for. On the inside of the flat iron it has an on/off switch and temp control. Unlike my other flat iron, it only has an on/off button so this feature was cool.It came with instructions, a case, and EVEN a brush... VERY COOL.. I have searched high and low for a flat iron that can handle my hair. Several have tried and failed. Either they are too damaging or do not have the ability to straighten my thick coarse hair.I saw this one browsing (like always..don't judge me) after reading the product description and reviews I was interested. I have never had an infrared heat producing flat iron. I was honestly nervous as to how this would do. Would it dry my hair out? Would it burn it? The answers are NO!This is the most gentlest flat iron I've ever used. It glided through my hair with ease. The floating plates didn't pull my hair at all. Two passes on a section and my hair was straight as an arrow.I really enjoyed the sectioning comb and the heat resistant mat as well (we're not going to talk about the burn marks on my bathroom sink from other straighteners) .Overall this is a great quality straightener and has now become my go to flat iron. I'm highly impressed and definitely recommend.I received this product to review at a discount. My assessment is my own after personal use.
