The canister looks great, and more importantly stores my coffee beans very well. The canister smells great when you open it, indicating that the coffee smell has been captured inside.Although there is no way of knowing, according to information on the box, the canister allows degassing the coffee, but not allowing outside air to get in.My only worry is the spring valve that releases the air when opening/closing the container may eventually wear off.Overall I think this is excellent value for money, and one I recommend over far more expensive displacement-based cannisters -- especially if you tend to get fresh coffee and use them up within a month or so.
