Unique design that works really well. Good quality.
This one works really well. Very unique design. Easy to adjust to different grip strength settings. Good range of settings. It is not going to break.

Pro Grip
Great grip for therapy and strengthening. It has a lot of different resistance levels with the 5 colored springs and extra spring pin. Seems well made should last a lifetime.

Great range of grip forces. All metal construction; some cons.
Overall, this is a nice grip exerciser, but it has a few weaknesses (!). Of course the best feature is the range of calibrated grip forces that are available via the 5 springs. It has finer adjustability in relevant ranges than do most sets of exercisers, each of which has a fixed spring. It is all metal and solid. On the down side: (1) it is much less comfortable to use than an old plastic set I have that has a better shape and is more smooth. This can partially be remedied by wrapping the handles in something soft; I used the kind of compression bandage that sticks to itself. (2) It doesn't track exactly straight as it is squeezed. The play in the main joint is a little annoying and disconcerting. (3) It would be nice if there were some kind of storage for the springs and pin that might not be used at a given time. It would be easy for them to get separated or lost. (4) I have fairly big hands (XL gloves) and it seems sized about right. I wonder how well it would work for average or smaller hands. There is no adjustment except that some of the springs are a little smaller than the others.

Occupational Therapy Hand Grip Must-Have
I was looking for the hand grip device I used in OT a few years ago and found it on Amazon from seller ONWED. It was sent and received quickly and looked exactly as remembered. All parts were included with excellent description of its use on the handles of the device itself. It appears to be very durable and adjustible to multiple tension levels by changing out the spring (5 included) and the position on the grip. The grip itself is coated in rubber and is easy to hold. So far I am very pleased with the purchase, but it has only been 3 days, so if anything ovvurs to change my opinion, I will update here.

Is this the best hand gripper?
When I saw this on Amazon, I could see that this hand gripper was different from most others. Most hand grippers have a short distance between your index finger and the opposite side and a much longer distance between your pinky and the other side. This seems backward since your pinky is the weakest of your fingers. The Stovall hand gripper instead incorporates an almost equal distance with all your fingers. This results in a much more even feel and allows you to contract fully with each squeeze. With all of the included springs, you can adjust the resistance from 5-220 pounds. Previously, I had been using a more traditional hand gripper that had a set 100 pounds of resistance that I couldn’t squeeze all the way. When I switched to the Stovall hand gripper, I used 40 pounds of resistance, which allows me to squeeze it almost all the way—much more movement than my old hand grippers. Instead of counting repetitions, I count the time, and do it for 3 minutes non-stop. This gives great results in gripping strength. By the way, some people have mentioned the little clips that hold the springs and caution you not to lose them. So I went to a hardware store and brought one of the clips to compare with. I purchased 6 of them for $1.20. Problem solved.

Great for Grip Strength
I am using this grip strengther for physical therapy after a bad fracture. It works well, and has helped a lot. You can precisely measurage pounds of strength for grip. The handles can be a bit slick though. I took and wrapped them with athletic wrap. That made it perfect. I really like it overall. Would buy again.
